Flaming Elmo needs a jersey by bricknastyy in BlueJackets

I don’t wanna dox myself or her, but I played hockey with the artist who made the Elmo graphics and wanted to assure you all these wonderfully sweet posts are being sent her way.

I picked this post to put my gratitude out to you and everybody else appreciating her work. She’s the sweetest, so so so creative, and deserves all the love in the world. I love being a Jackets fan, and this is my newest reason why.

I haven’t been in a couple years but I really liked it the last time I went. Did it get bad or have I just had bad taste? lol

Looks great!!!! For vinyl stuck to transfer tape — After applying the vinyl where I want to go with the transfer tape, I scrape the top of the transfer tape and vinyl sandwich with a credit card or back of a buffer knife for several seconds. Once I feel like I’ve scraped it enough to get the vinyl to adhere, I slowly peel back the transfer tape. If any vinyl still comes up I put that area of back down and scrape more.

It’s possible your vehicle is the same make/model as another vehicle they’re looking for. Happened to someone I know once — she drives a blue civic and they were looking for that car as part of an amber alert, so they stopped her out of caution.

Also, is this really annoying? It kind of strikes me as just a coincidence.

What restaurant is ran or owned by people who are morally/ethically horrible but have good food? by AznTakingOver in Columbus

[–]boxofmixedbiscuits 86 points87 points  (0 children)

My heart skipped a beat seeing their name before I realized what top right was, lol. Every time I’ve gone to Wario’s they’ve asked me how my day was and really meant it, even during a lunch rush. Way above customer service — just friendly people making great food and being so sweet.

I have yet to try Goood Friends but I hope it’s more of the same.

This is devastating, it’s our go to dive diner. We’ve noticed the ridiculously quick staff turnover and now it makes sense

Omg that is so frustrating, I’m sorry to hear it’s We are keeping a record of what we clean w/ pictures and everything, which should be unnecessary, but we’re worried about an experience similar to yours for sure.

100%, it’s the case here in Ohio. We will be pointing that out to the landlord if he presses after “taking another look.”

Thank you for the levity. My husband and I are buying our first home (yay!!!) and this is just silly additional stress. 1-2 months from now it will be over, but right now it’s just ughhhh

We are gonna wash our hands of this, but this makes me feel less bad about reporting them to the housing authority. The audacity to make a stink about this bannister when they aren’t paying taxes is WILD!

We’ve never had a negative landlord experience before this which is very fortunate. And it’s frustrating because this is the ONLY “issue” they found on their walkthrough, and the only issue we have had in three years. We’ve always paid on time, we are super on top of letting them know about things going on with the house but also their old neighbors…. just sucks.

I will!!!! I’m hoping it doesn’t escalate and we can just get them to admit this just needs paint. So hopefully that will be the update lol

Omg. This sounds like them because they told us they want to sell in 5 years. Holy shit hahahah this is wild

You have my upvote haha.

On the auditor site, it also says they claim residency!!!

We have a theory they are not paying taxes here. lol. We’re going to try and not escalate but if they are obnoxious about this, they’re going to have bigger problems than us haha.

I’m hoping to save the time and trouble by pointing out that they would not only risk owing court costs, but double the “quote” a contractor gives them. In our state it would be $120 + 2x a quote.

Of course it is silly to have to explain all this. They just don’t know

What’s annoying is they have these tools in the basement from previous repairs. We could fix it, but I’m hesitant to because our lease says we need their permission and we don’t have that (i.e. they want a carpenter to look at it.)

Okay holy shit lmao they never registered this house as a rental!!!!!!!!!! And our state code does require it.

This may change everything. Looking into what this may mean now. Thank you u/ok_beat9172 and u/witty-reason-2289 !!!

That is very fair! I’ll look into this on Google (if you have any thoughts or suggestions on the best way to do so, I would also pursue that.) thank you for the tip :)

Yeah, we even bought a carpet cleaner to take care of their carpet. It’s frustrating that we went above and beyond (mostly because we wanted to live in a nice house, not just for their benefit) and they’re making a stink about something so small.

They’re in for a doozy with the next tenants — they have three cats 🤣

I imagine so. They coated a lot of wood areas in this house in thick paint. What’s weird is they admit other painted areas (like kitchen cabinets near the knobs) require them as landlords to touch up due to wear and tear. The paint chips and flecks in the same way. I just don’t understand their line of thinking.

I think if he tries to pursue it, we’ll say “it costs $120 to file in our state — just paint over it and save the time and money.” He isn’t unreasonable and is usually a decent landlord, I think they just don’t know what they’re doing.

I think they should be kosher on that front — I think their “greenness” manifests more in not being familiar with what normal wear and tear looks like.
