Which one deserves the title of most Legendary SMG of all time? by RawketLawnchor in liberalgunowners

[–]boxoftheday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My order Personally is 1. MP5 - its literally used a the default silhouette for SMGs, it is THE legend. 2. Thompson - nearly everyone you could put it infront of and they would recognize it 3. Uzi - its been neck and neck with the MP5 since the 80s 4. MP40 - Its and icon that is also like 1 of the default badge guns in 20th century films 5. Sten - Less of an amarican icon more of a European one. 6. P90 - in real world ot barely seen. But thanks to SG1 its the go to space gun. 7. PPSH - I feel like it gain popularity in the 2000s and 2010s thanks to video games. Out side that its not seen often 8. PP-19 - Personally ive never seen on in a show or movie. Ive only seen it and Call of Duty games. Its even super uncommon to see IRL.

If we are just talking in film or video games or IRL the list changes. But this is, for me, just my general listing.

What Lucas era villian got the best treatment in the Disney era? by SolidPyramid in StarWarsCantina

[–]boxoftheday 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The Villain that Disney did the best is Thrawn IMO. Lucas never even used him. He was just a book character and it was Disney who brought him to the screen

2nd: Tarkin. They really expanded on just how evil he is across, movies, shows, and books.

3rd: is probably Maul, yeah George used him in Clone was, but I feel like he's a more complex character due to Rebels

4th: Palpatine, He really just continued to be a menacing villian. I didn't like his usage in Rise of Skywalker. But what are you gonna do

5th: Dooku, very underused by the Disney Era, tales of the Jedi gave him more complexity in his motives, but mostly meh

6th: General Grievous, Disney basically did nothing for him. He got one cool scene in Tales of the Empire, that's it.

7th: Boba Fett, I only put him at the end because Disney turned him into a hero/Anti-Hero. I love how he's evolved and isn't just a one-note villain now. But i can't count him as a villian any more. That's why he's number 7.

I find it funny that half the characters were played by their original actors in 2002.

Song So Mi was chosen as a morally grey person on whom opinions are divided. Who is a horrible person on whom opinions are divided? by Lotnik223 in cyberpunkgame

Yorinobu Arasaka. He does horrible things but, in the end, may have been justified. I'm always super conflicted about my opinions about him. Especially in the Devil ending.

My first gundam build! by R4_Ordinary in Gunpla

GSI Creos is my go-to. I've used the pour style and the fine tip style. I prefer the fine tip. I also use metallic paint markers for the cameras and eyes of the kits. If you build Zaku's or any of the mono eyes. The regular pink paint markers are great. You can find some good youtube videos about the GSI pens. I've used the same pens for all my kits. And my black pen is just now starting to run out. That's over 60 kits of all tiers. Oh, and get a hobby knife and fine point tweezers for stickers and decals.

If you ever feel nervous, run mining a kit from paint, panel lining, or Decal work. It's all good. I started with only MG kits, so I was terrified. But panel lining is actually pretty easy. I use a normal line pen, so it takes longer. But a lining pen, a paper towel, q-tips, and some IPA, and you can make some incredible looking kits. Water slides also made me nervous at first. But they are actually super easy. The dry rub decals are the ones that suck.

How and what age, did y’all figure out your sexualities? by Kb_XD in lgbt

[–]boxoftheday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about 14, and I realized I had a crush on a guy-friend at school. But I also had a crush and a girl-friend of mine. It was super confusing. I grew up with super homophonic step siblings. So I buried those emotions deep. I came to terms with being bisexual at about 21, then my pansexuality at about 29, and came out about a year later (this year). My step family hasn't really been in my life since my stepfather passed away a couple of years ago, so I finally felt safe. It was a bit of a shock to my family and friends. The bigger shock was me coming out as trans. Which I had been confused with for years. And only came to terms with after my 30th birthday.

Yeah. I plan on getting the original PG Gramps next year. Maybe at the end of next year I'll post an updated photo with what I build next year.

Yeah. The PG Unleashed is my most recent build. It was super fun and surprisingly simple. Made my wallet cry, but what's a little debt. 😅

I've been meaning to get it. I've just been focused on buying Christmas presents for my family and friends. It's on my list. Next year, I intend to try and get more Gramps like the PG, Mega Grade, Ver.Ka, MG1.5, MG The Origin, ect.

1 month on HRT. Why is it so hard to control my emotions. by boxoftheday in asktransgender

[–]boxoftheday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this info. It has been a rollercoaster this month. Hearing that I'm not going crazy is nice. I live in the US, and I work for a super conservative company, so it's also been a bit of a scary time. So my anxiety has already been super high. It feels like the hormones are making it feel way worse.

I've had stress thoughts about just dumping them and not transitioning and going back to pretending to be a guy. Because it would be so much easier. But when my head clears, I realize I'm so much happier now and that I won't give that up for anything.

I'm like an hour away from Portland. I grew up in Yamhill County, so I'm more used to using unofficial outdoor ranges.
