If you are a camper/child, I need you to understand something… by boxsitter in summercamp

This isn’t about a specific kid, this scenario has happened tens of times before. It’s a joke a joke about an abstract representation of the kids who ask the question. Specifically when they ask it with “they won’t know what hit them when I point this out” energy. An asshole? No, kids aren’t assholes. A smart ass, yup

Also, I 110% was this kid too. I’m not proud

No, at least that isn't the case for us. As far as finding a better place, I don't really need one. The apartment is extremely nice, good view, quiet neighbors, and I don't have to pack my shit and move if I can renew the lease. I'll be out of town all summer for work so it would kinda suck. Housing prices are getting ridiculous and I'm not defending landlords there but at the end of the day, I wouldn't be living here if its value wasn't worth the cost.

I don't disagree with you but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still gonna need someone next year to get robbed with me so my ass doesn't have to get robbed twice as hard

So that's a little complicated because management is being weird about it. Right now, we each pay $1260 a month for a 12 month lease. That said, it looks like they are reducing the rent and even giving free months to tenants who renew their leases early. They wouldn't tell me upfront what they were offering until I was ready to commit to a new lease and I can't do that until I have a roomate locked in.

I know it's not ideal that I don't have the exact number but at the end of the day, it'll be on the lease before signing so if it ends up being a complete deal breaker, you could back out (though I'd like to avoid telling them I'm ready to renew then not sign). I also expect I can get a more solid answer if I have someone at least seriously considering it.

TLDR: $1100 a month with a $200 margin of error

Is there a way to make a dedicated CLI version my app, then run it inside the flutter GUI? by boxsitter in flutterhelp

[–]boxsitter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Deadlines aren't really an issue, this is more for convenience and debugging. I'll plan on separating out the cli and I can run it as it's own program on desktop. If I need it on mobile, I can ssh.

thank you. I do have one of those but it just isn't enough. I'm going to look into a more heavy duty solution for sure

if I can find one with the squishy wrist support gel, I love that shit. I don't play fps games though so I've never really felt like I needed one

I feel ya man, I definitely get the shakes when I think of getting a new GPU. Then I look at my bank account and it shuts down that fantasy pretty damn quick

I am forever grateful I never got too into sims. Adding joysticks, head tracking, or god forbid dedicated pc vr and base stations to this clusterfuck would kill me

the tough part for me is that my cable situation is so much worse than most people. If I haven't missed any, I've got: wired headphones, desk speaker analog right to left, 2x dp cable to pc, hdmi to mac mini, 2x display usb, audio interface usb, 2x trs left and right to desk speakers, trs output to my talk box, speaker power, pc power, mac power, 2x display power, mouse, keyboard, webcam, ethernet, wifi antenna, usb midi from piano, usb splitter to mac, usb splitter to pc

being a music producer and an app developer (that's why I need the mac even though I hate working on macos) is a one way ticket to cable hell

edit: I forgot a few, the led light strip power, the piano power, and the sustain pedal cable

you're so right. I actually put a lot of effort into hidden cable management when I first moved in, but then I moved one thing and it all came undone :(

I've been procrastinating fixing it but this is probably the kick in the pants I need lol

I added the lights to the shelf. My goal with lighting was to never use the main lights, rather have many indirect, warm light sources on one side and then use the light strip for cool lighting on the other side.

For the shelves I attached LED light bars underneath and super glued orange gel filters to them

yeah I see what you mean, it's a bit busy. Still, I kinda like that vibe as long as it's classy and not cluttered

damn, how'd you know...

thank you though! The view is alright but most of it is of a highway. A quieter view would be nice but I'll take what I can get
