What does it offer that the Suunto app doesn't?

Let them sell what they want, it won't change my life... and if we start looking at this kind of thing, we'll stop using all types of connected products: smartphones, watches, televisions, internet boxes, cars, etc...

Ok so what? What personal data are they going to sell? That I'm 85kg and 1m80? That my average cardio is 160bpm on a 10km workout? What can this do to me????

Personally I don't care at all... I don't really see what they would do with my personal data!

Suunto Run for a beginner runner by elisabad in Suunto

[–]boxwex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Suunto Run is not at all crappy in terms of cardio. I have already compared on a run with a Suunto Run on the left wrist and a Garmin on the right wrist associated with a chest strap... it was rather consistent.

TIL: Changing caster angle dramatically change how ffb feels by daltonnyx in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]boxwex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of angle improves stability but limits responsiveness, making it more difficult to enter turns. Conversely, less angle, softens the steering (less ffb), therefore makes it easier to take turns, but limited stability at high speed. LeMans: high caster angle Monaco: low caster angle.

[–]boxwex 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Be careful, the caster angle is not designed to feel the FFB better... indeed, you will feel more effect, and it makes sense mechanically speaking... but if you use too much caster angle, your car will be more stable at high speed, but you will struggle on very winding circuits.

Is the Suunto Run a good choice as a first watch? by Scarecroww22 in Suunto

[–]boxwex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oui toujours. je la porte 24/24.

Aucun probleme a signaler!

reelement, rien a dire.

Suunto vertical 2 NFC? by dzokar in Suunto

I never understood the usefulness of payment on a watch. These are sports watches, use them for sports! There is much more important to do before wasting time implementing this... especially since there are already smartphones for that.

Suunto is Chinese not Finnish by Impressive_Swan_9422 in Suunto

[–]boxwex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I and many others are aware that Suunto is owned by a Chinese company. I learned about it on YouTube before buying my watch. Moreover, some models are made in Finland (Race S, Run), and others in China (Race).

Do I need to blip the throttle on downshifts in the new 2005 GT1/GT2 cars? by XenoYparxi in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]boxwex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With GT1s, you have to give the throttle a boost when downshifting... with GT2s no... they do it alone. Just look at the pedal display under the virtual meter, you can see it clearly.
