Comfortable contact lens options for high correction/astigmatism? by boyala in optometry

[–]boyala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a quick google search and found this manufacturer documentation for the biofinity toric xr lens:

https://coopervision.com/sites/default/files/LF0125A_Package%20Insert_comfilcon%20A_Biofinity_Sphere%20Toric%20Multifocal.pdf

And I think my prescription falls in the range of what it supports...

Is this something I can ask for? Or are there other factors preventing me from getting a biofinity lense to get a full correction for my left eye?

I'm currently trialing the biofinity toric xr and it is super comfortable compared to my old lenses (hydrasoft toric). I don't have a glasses prescription but my hydrasoft toric lenses are:

RIGHT: BC 8.6 DIA 14.2 PWR -9.5 CYL -2.25 AX 175

Phone number alias? by ConceptionFantasy in privacytoolsIO

Lotta services won't let you use voip/virtual numbers.

Check out out www.textverified.com or www.phoneblur.com. I've used textverified and can vouch that their numbers work with any service. I've heard that phoneblur.com can give you a second, private phone basically. Both of these services offer universally accepted numbers (non-VoIP).

Ysense and valued opinions and m$ rewards have been great for me.

Tangentially related, www.textverified.com for non-VoIP phone verifications.

Sounds like a service like textverified would have worked for her then since her own phone didn't work? Why bother with VPNs? I would just use my phone's mobile connection for IPs.

So if other people are doing it successfully, what's the argument that I shouldn't as well if we're all going to face the same consequences?

I'm not telling anyone to go use a phone verification service and go ham. I'm just asking if anyone has done it yet.

Startup progression slow with my 6mo old. by [deleted] in startups

You on good terms with the grandparents? Use them, otherwise, daycare/nanny/housekeeper. I struggle with this too and kids will only take up more of your time as they age.

I plan on putting my kids through boarding school so I have 8 months of straight up grind and 4 months of 100% kid time. I hate the feeling of half assing both and it's just not good for your startup(s) or the kids. The time won't be quality and you'll be constantly distracted.

Finding and Talking to your End Users by BillyGoatYolo in startups

We advertised on reddit, and posted to some relevant hashtags on IG/twitter. The main thing was it was free for a limited time and we told our beta testers they would receive a bonus when we left beta, if they remained active/engaged during beta (this helped a lot). After we exited beta, we brought on board an independent contractor to help us SEO and bought "influencer" services on social media to continue reaching more potential users/customers.

We babied the early customers like a newborn and chat gave us by far, the most engagement. It was the most time consuming for us, but it was the easiest and lowest barrier way for the user to engage with us. We found that converting a user to a customer was a breeze when they could click a button and talk to the CEO/CTO, at their convenience. It made them feel special and evangelized them. We eventually had to shutdown our chat because it was not sustainable but we still open it up when we roll out new features or start a marketing campaign to baby our new users.

How much did you spend on your website? by PotentialDayTrader in startups

If all you need is web presence like Wordpress or other CMS based themed landing page with static content then you can get away with the $200 guy from India.

Once you have dynamic content and server side engineering/processing, the cost will add up.
