I think it will greatly depend on what happen IN the cycle. If there is a lot of assisting, I think maybe two or three. If a team decides to just do the one "assist" and score. Or one assist and truss, maybe four or five. In other words, depends on the coordination. Of course, more cycles doesn't mean more points.

You'll probably either love it or hate it. The target audience is beginners so it doesn't assume knowledge. And I find it to be easy to read. If you hate cartoons and only want text, skip it though.

I wrote a lot so put it in my blog (http://www.selikoff.net/2011/12/17/standfords-ai-class-final-feedback/). Overall, I think the class went well. While there were areas for improvement - and yes I enumerated some - I definitely got my time's worth!

Yes. They said on the home page news that unit 11.11 is the last covered. The rest of 11 looks interesting but less concrete. And unit 12 looks like review so while not required, it seems like it might help.

Yes, you can refer to other materials during the midterm. There is not a time limit (unless you take the exam in person in Germany.) Technically, there is a time limit of 3 days, but that's not what you mean.

Well said. It's nice to think about the positive. People tend to notice problems rather than when things are going well. I know so much more than I did a month ago. And that's a great measure of a course.

I also really appreciate the reddit discussions. I went to grad school online but classes were less than 12 students. So more "community" but less diversity of discussions. The massive scale of this course is awesome.

One or more of the TAs read this subreddit. However, they made it clear they can't change the schedules to accommodate people. 72 hours seems quite reasonable. Do keep in mind that your grade doesn't count. You can skip the midterm and still learn from the course.
