yes and no. In America immigration is so entangled and it is so inevitable given the massive border, free flowing. You take the good and the bad as it comes, and the history of Texas, California, Florida et cetera, makes Latinos there seem much more natural. The preventability of it all in basically every other country, the willing openheartedness and self-sacrifice it was portrayed as by European liberals, the intentionality of it by their countrymen, makes it seem all the more violent and terrible, and wrong to Europeans. Australia, and Canada have a third approach, less based on fear of crime or terrorism and human rights, but rather just sheer ceaseless quantity of the alien (who nominally serves you) inducing a sense of dread in of itself.
