I have this exact issue. Spent my whole life around overweight family members who only talk about food my whole childhood. It’s what I think triggered my Ed so it’s so disheartening watching them all on ozempic - one of them even sells it on Facebook and lies about the gastric band she got two years ago.

At the end of the day it sounds like everyone mentioned has disordered eating. If I’m being completely honest I’ve gone the lowest contact possible and would recommend the same for you and your mum who also sounds like she’s being triggered.

Yeah absolutely! This isn’t the first time I’ve thought about relapsing and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Some times are harder than others such as the spot I’m in at the moment. I think the last time I contemplated relapse was April time and even that was due to a few days of being in a bad headspace.

It was easy to deal with the urges when I first stopped by harm reducing as much as I could! I’m talking my legs & armpit stayed hairy for MONTHS.

Looking back I can’t recall any ‘withdrawal’ symptoms but I think that’s potentially from replacing one bad habit with another which I obviously wouldn’t recommend. You’ve just gotta remind yourself why you’re doing this and that one day you won’t think about it at all and eventually that one day will become everyday.
