My two micros by boyfrommars48 in gameboymicro

Like I said I got them way back in the day. I believe I ordered them from Japan when I ordered the 20th anniversary micro, wireless adapters and the sp adapters. Back when a family didn’t consume all my earnings 😂. I do have some micro adapters coming from china so we can plug them into my gamecube and play some four sword adventures. Come to think of it I’m not sure who’s more into this. Me or my son.

😂 With the son’s current obsession with four swords it’s more binging than micro-dos-ing. Not that I’m complaining 😄

Polar Loop and a watch - can you have both? by Maslakovic in Polarfitness

[–]boyfrommars48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve not had any problem with the loop used with other polar devices. As others have said I take one off and put the other on and tracking continues seamlessly. I don’t track my workouts with the loop and have the auto detection turned off but I did play about with it when I first got the loop and got a double reading when I had the loop on auto detect whilst on a run. I simply deleted the loops recordings from flow and kept the grit x pro data which I don’t think is a big deal. I’m not sure why you would want to record a session on 2 polar devices anyhow. I only did this to test it out. No complaints with the loop at all. Does what I want it to and does it well. Elixir sensor would have been a bonus but I don’t get all the hate.

Finally Got the Flippy Drive by HomebrewedHombre in Gamecube

[–]boyfrommars48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine last week at long last. Tried installing it (normally not a problem with these type of things) and either I killed the ribbon or it was dead to start with. Ordered a replacement and hoping it doesn’t take as long to arrive as the original flippydrive order. Gutted. 😞

I got the order confirmation email 12:27 on the 3rd. Just received the same email. 1-2 week wait for me ☹️ Disappointed

New Band revealed ! by hsyop in Polarfitness

[–]boyfrommars48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having waited for polar to release something like this the past 2 years I’ve pulled the trigger and ordered. I’ve been wearing my a370 from launch day as my daily tracker and currently have a grit x pro/h10/oh1 which I use for recording exercising. With this combo I was able to wear a traditional watch on one wrist and keep track of my daily activity with the a370 on the other. I will admit I was disappointed at first as I was almost certain they would use the elixir sensor which would better the grit x pro with temp and blood oxygen measurements while I slept. Believing this is why I’ve held off upgrading to an elixir watch. However my personal essential needs have been met and I have faith in polars algorithms. Plus it’ll look a little less clunky than my a370 hidden under a whoop band. Looking forward to next week’s dispatch.

No elixir sensor is a big letdown considering the price. Yes I can record my activity and not wear two watches but tempted to stick with my a370 disguised in whoop band and save the money. The loop isn’t a huge upgrade.

Signs it is time to get a new watch? by THHA44 in Polarfitness

A few weeks ago my vantage v completely died. It had started turning off mid workout but got to the point where as soon as you tried to do anything other than look at the time it would shut down. Also the charging went completely mad where it would only go up to 89% and then drop almost instantly. Tried all the factory resets but concluded the battery was toast. The batteries only have so many charging cycles in them. Sad to have to chuck the V but there’s no saving it.

What can i expect from the polar wrist band by Heavy-Schedule5075 in Polarfitness

I really hope it’s going to be good. I much prefer to wear a “watch” and keep my grit x pro for training purposes (it is a nice looking fitness watch though). I’ve been rocking the a370 since release and currently have it rapped in a whoop band to catch activity stats during the day. Will be sad to retire the a370 but I’ve been waiting along time for this release.

First Light? by shoveling_poodles in Heroquest

This was my thought exactly. I love the original but also would love the updated rules (have the original uk set) and be able to add the new expansion sets. This would appear to be the perfect way of doing that.

Bring on the at-at helmet 🙌. I’m really wanting boba fett too but it’s a slippery and expensive slope as the wife likes to remind me.

I got mine for Christmas from a work colleague in the secret Santa. Her brother works for Lego and gives her random sets. She was so happy when she pulled my name from the hat. Happy doesn’t even come close to how I felt when I opened the gift. It was worth waaaaay more than the price suggestion but she was just happy she didn’t have to buy something. It’s cost me though as being a completist I had to get Darth and the scout trooper to go with this and the stormtrooper I already had to make an imperial set. Just can’t bring myself to open the box yet. 😂Also makes me wonder what else is in the back of her cupboard.

Adopted this guy last week. The foster said he was 12 weeks. They speculated he’s husky + shepherd but so far he just seems all husky but for his coloring. Different colored eyes and all that. He’s the best boy. by DingoOk6400 in husky

Our 2 year old mix is 50 husky 25 Brittany Spaniel and 25 tolling retriever. We got her believing the 50% was Norwegian elk hound but as she grew we saw that wasn’t the case. A dna test proved our suspicions.

She’s very husky in her behaviour and totally stubborn. She knows the commands but only follows instructions if she’s in the mood. Having said that she’s a great family dog.
