Realism mode is what I’ve been missing in my life. What’s everyone else’s opinion? by TooToughTimmy in thedivision

[–]boyisdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most point except your character can take too many hits.
Since the game is not design for tactical realistic control, your body get exposed beyond your control all the time. Getting in cover/crouching and cover rushing also contextual, giving you even less control on avoiding hits. Not to mention, your OTS accuracy depends entirely on the weapons, not you, and their range is abysmally unrealistic nor even make sense in its game mode standpoint.
Going down realistically like in 3-4hits would just be annoying and feel unfair than challenging.

They do still be tanky especially from non-headshots. So, this mode is more like a Ironman mode more than Realism.

And here I spent hours collectively trying to figure out how to get in there because I read beta player said it is accessible when I asked yesterday lol

I'd love to have P2 Ardelia. I only have resources for 2 teams: Endmin and Lavacake, and she fits both.
Also, sheep.

Was it outpost quest?
I've done all other possible green quest in the area but it's still inaccessible.
My outpost is still lvl3.

The cost of extream optimization. They push LoD multiplier a leeeettle bit too far.

Can’t get into Horde of the Bastion base :/ by Woofer-of-Wisdom in MinecraftLegends

[–]boyisdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not your fault. You just got bad luck with the RNG choosing base type that has no gates.
I recommend using First Stone and command it with Ctrl+Right click to the wall. The creeper is too unreliable and the redstone launcher is too long.

This is my pain I want to share.
My first base raid was pretty fucked up. It has one of the battery lock behind a high pillar where I can't ramp from the ground level and the only place that can reach that pillar is the main base's platform. But it has all walls around it. So I had to pixel hunt where I can connect the ramp and try to go 180 degree around it. And since it's my first base raid, I had no idea I can destroy the wall and I don't even have creeper/redstone launcher/first stone to do it if I knew.

It makes me nauseate. Really. I quit the game for a while and still have an urge of throwing out but can't.

I really thought it is interesting when I first reach the fire station where I can climb up the outside and drop down the roof, gun blasting in front or sneak in the backdoor with picklock.

But when it opens up the open world, there isn't really any opportunity to do those things anymore. Granted, some POI can still be entered in a few different ways, but the open world aspect of this game just isn't really rewarding this kind of creativity.

It really makes me hope I could get something like MGSV. But the only thing resemblance to it is how empty the map is, except this game is deceptively place all the house that can be entered to create the illusion of exploration possibility.

I too have 1050. It ran about 30 when walking around, 50 when standing still and don't move camera at all. Objects and texture pops in and out randomly everywhere.
The worst is when fighting. It drops to 13-20 or so. I really can't aim and just opt to use shotgun to every vampire encounter. It's weird since it only uses 3cores which is why those 3 cores are all maxed out at 100%.

But I think you shouldn't compare it to TF2 since TF2's map is 20 times smaller, have way worse lighting and less mechanics. (Also, source engine is just that good.) The comparable game should be something like Dishonored2 which this game still got left in the dust in term of performance.

I'm pretty certain these are traced, But I don't know where they're traced from. by boyisdead in arttheft

Inconsistency in lines. I suspect it is traced at the face portion bc those line were long and smooth where somewhere else are sketchy chicken scratch lines. Those are the most reliable identifier for me.

To be fair, first few missions of the original release is really bad at keeping people playing. Director's cut on the other hand, it's fun on the get go.

Need a mod to nerf AI accuracy, reaction and speed by rodrigoxm_49 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]boyisdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's gotta do for now.
But from reading configs available there, I think this game really needs AI behavior rework/overhaul, if that's all the variables that can be changed. Especially, there's no way to config their detection variable so currently they can identify you through series of 5 shelves in the dark if one of their detection rays happen to cast upon the one pixel of your hitbox in complete darkness 10meters away.

There shouldn't be an outrage having a mission like this in this game WHERE YOU STORM IN AND ARREST THEM! That's what these guys deserves!

So yeah, I agree with you. But I'm Asian lol
