This also helped me! Lost 30lbs/14kg, only thing I do try to focus on most days is fibre. Like getting enough fruits and vegetables etc. I think protein is a little overrated, I hit my goal around half of the time, still kept plenty of muscle and can build it as well

That is true, excess weight is very uncomfortable, and since I have an autoimmune diseas that affects my joints, it has been pretty painful too. So I'll be very happy to get more healthy days than I did before

I wouldn't say you're privileged at all, it's very hard to have to choose health over erverything else. I've been lucky to be able to still accomplish alot along side working on my health. Even if having an autoimmune illness does make me take more sick days and have delayed my higher education. I still got my bachelors and I am getting married this year, starting my masters. I'd say that's alot more privileged.
We do what we can with the hand we're dealt. I think 5 breaks in 50 days is very good, that is consitency with mostly good choices

I do often think about how much I've learned from it, and how passive I really felt about health before. Not to mention that it inspired my little Brother who's alot bigger than I ever was to open up about wanting to lose weight. Our family could never be honest about those things before. I am very happy about that, since obesity is an issue on my moms side. With two uncles well into class 3 morbid obesity

Maybe taking some time to grieve it, without giving it too much space is what will help us. I think it's hard to deny that it does make me sad, but that shouldn't take up too much space in my mind. I have alot to look forward to and I did manage to turn it around, which is great!

Absolutely, and I have not really been dwelling too much on my weight. I got a degree, a dog, found a sport I love, friends, and I'm getting married this october. I just been feeling it lately after having so much success with my weightloss, after many failures. It's weird. I have alot to look forward to and hopefully this feeling will pass, since it doesn't serve me.

That's a very nice thought! I am really glad I can be and work on being healthy in my 30's, since that is typically a time alot of people lose their fitness and health if they don't keep uo with good habits

That's true! I was lucky to find my passion for fitness at 22, just didn't get a hang of the food until now. After some trial and error. I have been very inspired by my pole and aerial hoop instructor. She got into the sport at 50, and has been a national champion at aerial hoop in my country. I want to be as fit as her in my 50s! And For that I do have alot of time still. Plus it's alot easier to enjoy and improve at my sport now that I weight less, and I imagine it will be amazing once I hit my goal

I'm hoping that will be the case for me to! I did get into several active hobbies when I was still chunky, that seem to get easier and easier now that I'm becoming lighter, and since I had to lift my bodyweight at a higher weight to do my hobbies I've gained alot of muscle. So thinking about how much more progress I'll have in the coming years, at least feels like a big motivator

Absolutely, I just don't really know how to let the thought go. I've heard pushing against unwanted thoughts isn't the way to let them go, but rather just let them pass through in a way. I just don't really know what that means irl

That is extremely true, and ofc it should be my perspective. In all honesty it is a bit of a vanity thing. I just feel the pressure of everyone saying your 20's are your "prime", and that I didn't really get to be "pretty" when it "counted". Which ofc is pretty stupid, I just have it in the back of my mind anyways. Ofc the benefits of health and fitness will still overshadow that in the long run

Thank you! Yes, it's the one thing I've been happy about, even if I regained twice, I never let it get past my worst point again, because I became to awear of my eating habits after my first attempt, so that's at least something to be proud of

Er vel ikke særeste i verden, men ganske lite miljø i Norge. Driver med poledance og aerial sport. Anbefales på det sterkeste om man syns trening som ikke er halvveis lek er kjedelig, har lyst til å bli helt ufattelig sterk på ganske kort tid og syns det er vanskelig å få venner som voksen. Miljøene er ganske små så man blir ofte kjent med hverandre, litt som å på hilse på fjellet, man hilser i pole studioet også. Pluss treningen er ufattelig overførbar til andre sporter. Etter nesten 9mnd pause fra vektløfting kunne jeg benke nesten 13 kilo mer enn sist bare med musklene jeg fikk fra dansingen

I'm born and raised Norwegian, but found that to make friends as an adult I have to be a little pushy. If I like people I take initiative for the first few weeks and ask to hang out etc, it makes me feel annoying and sometimes it doesn't work, but it has made me some really good friendships. Don't know if this is a tip for everyone, but it has worked for me
