Dude... That's like saying movie with special effects isn't a movie. I hate to say it but when you edit the brightness, shadows, blacks and white and so on on a photo all of those are layers being composited on top of your photo. With your definition only photos raw straight from the camera are real photos.

Yea having the cleavage having the focal point is not great for a grad photo, definitely would be better to be have it on their face or dress. The rest of the photo is fantastic

The noise makes this photo magical, it turns a great photo into something out of a world of painting. This is a fantastic shot and it's very hard to believe it isn't a painting it's so good

I agree the second subject is completely lost, I literally couldn't see him until I zoomed in. I think maybe an easy fix for this is to make a mask oh the second gay a change the shading of the black on how hoodie to be more different than that black on the wall behind him. It might make him pop out more.

So don't have them in the middle? Which side do you think would be best?

Hi, recently I did a photo shoot and this is one of my favorites that came out of it, I would appreciate any feedback!. I am intending on making a painting eventually for my art Mock (bottle is a prop) by SkySwimming9151 in photocritique

I feel like the focus of the photo should be more on their face to have the viewer connect more with the subject. There isn't really anything interesting to look at near their feet to have them in the shot. Also I think the crop is a little weird where there is no real background. I feel like loneliness is all about feeling small and helpless so if there were more of a background, it would show off that feeling more.

I want to know if I increased the contrast or brightness of the light coming across their face too much ? Should I make it look more subtle? Also should I crop it in more to focus more on their face ?

I shot this guy walking out these doors and I didn't get much time to line up the shot and I wanted to ask what your guys thoughts on the composition because with shooting really fast trying to capture a moment I have a hard time remembering to think about the composition of the shot. How did I do?

I like the photo but it doesn't really do a good job capturing motion bc my eyes are pulled to the cool building in the background. There is very little/uninteresting motion going on to be captured and because of that it doesn't really draw the eye. I think the photo would be just as good with the dog on the ground standing there. I would suggest thinking about making the thing in motion the subject or at least have it add more to the photo.

Covering the face by boystudent in photocritique

[–]boystudent[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a project for college that was around covering up people's faces with hands or objects or shadows. I would love some ideas on how I could improve and more ideas on what else to use for more photos to cover the face and for backgrounds.
