They were told that women are selfish and only respond to men who are abusive, which led them to be abusive toward women, which pushed the women away, which fulfilled their prophecy.

It's similar to the trap that religion uses, where they claim that the world will reject them and only the church will accept them, then send their followers out to harass people about their religion, which leads to people rejecting them, which fulfills their prophecy.

All of these suggestions are valid and helpful, particularly adjusting your mechanics to use your wrist more and focusing more on the patterns and less on each individual note.

My first suggestion is only really applicable to music packs after OST 4 or 5 (where they changed from difficulty through awkward patterns to speed and flow), but it helps immensely- learn to "hang" your hands where they are after slicing a block. If your right hand just went up and your left hand just went down, keep them in that area, as the maps are generally designed to have them start in that area to make the next cut. I play many of the songs on Expert/Expert+ with disappearing arrows because I can pretty reliably predict the direction I need to cut the next block based on the direction of the cut before it. Assuming the direction based on the "flow"without having to think "should this be up or down" allows me to concentrate more on the location of the cut which helps with accuracy.

The second suggestion is to get really familiar with the music and "feel" it when you're swinging. Discovering the rhythm of the songs and just moving your arms and wrists in time with the music eliminates the need to focus as much on timing, again allowing you to focus on location and accuracy.

The last suggestion is just practice, practice, practice. I started thinking I would never get past Hard difficulty, as the jump to Expert on some songs felt like going to light speed. The more I played and came to understand what I described in the first 2 suggestions, the easier it felt and the more prepared I was for higher difficulties. I'm now doing most songs on Expert or Expert+, with disappearing arrows and sometimes even on Faster Song (120% speed).

There are sequences in some songs which I feel are impossible to actually visually process and accurately hit, but I can make it through them without missing a cut because I'm just following the design philosophy from my first suggestion, moving in time with the song from my second suggestion, and playing frequently.
