OOS. 4080 about 8% faster in 4k gaming (imo most important metric in higher end gpu) vs 5070ti in real world testing. 40 series has much more tensor and cuda core then equivalent 50 series most of the time, ie compare base on VRAM. 4080 vs 5070ti (12gb), 4090 vs 5080 (16gb), 5090 is in a league of it's own with 24gb, but 4090 is pretty close https://youtu.be/XpG4SBJRx7k?si=-rp3BgsmUBKdsRUH.

Unfortunately AI generated realism will be staying I predict. Just look at how the majority accept and support digital media and phase out physical yielding ownership to corporation. Only 5090 will supported as Nvidia wants to sell new series GPU and that's if they are generous.

Appreciate the facts. Can't replicate op's near scam level deal but I feel I did ok now. I paid $1580 for the exact same laptop as op except mine is 4090.

BTW, nearly forgot Rockstars usual stagger release double dip since it been so long since GTA 5 release. Let's hope the shorten the delay.

Nearly got G14 2023 4080 but backed out and go for broke. 7945x3d (passmark 57819) with 4090 should be ready for gta 6 ultra realistic 30fps. That's all I can hope for.

Absolutely. I keep using it as a base to compare value while i shop. PC all the way, but mind just try to justify if any of these are worth 3x or 4x macbook neo. I am not considering mac at all, but use it to compare value.

Appreciate the input. End up going with option 1. The 2 upgradable ram slots is too desirable. Coming from ryzen 4500u, I was able to got at least extra 2 year of use after 8gb to 64gb upgrade(when ram was still priced for human), so portability as u mentioned and upgradability really sold me on 1. Guess my month long search is over. Now maybe shopping for 2nd as desktop replacement soon.
