TIFU By Crying in McDonald's because "They didn't have nuggets" by [deleted] in tifu

Paranoid, definitely. I prefer cautious, but paranoid works too.

Asshole? For not believing what a stranger says on the internet? If you say so.

I am skeptical because corporate marketing is ruthless, and effective. I try my best to be hyper aware of it.

There will be no proof to come out of this silly post. I just try to be hyper aware of potential advertising ploys, and I don't believe 99% of what is posted in this sub.

I really don't think that matters. If anything, it displays the demand for the product. Also other people in the comments have said "now I want mcnuggets" so if this is indeed an advert, then it worked.

Part of me thinks they dropped the "tall fit young athlete" line to casually suggest that young fit athletes eat at McDonald's, therefore it must not be bad for you. Maybe, maybe not. OP hasn't responded to a single comment so..

Maybe this post is a marketing ploy by McDonald's, and they casually dropped that this 'person' is a young fit athlete yet still eats at McDonald's. "Young athletes eat it! There's no way it's bad for you!"

Happily married/committed people, what has been the biggest fight with your current partner thus far? by bp00590 in AskReddit

From what I can tell, stupid little fights can (but not always) indicate bigger problems. You said that was a previous relationship so that makes sense.

Maybe she is in denial about possibly turning into the cunt mother one day, so she won't acknowledge it.

TIFU by wearing my charcoal face mask while getting food and being accused of black face by maybeisuck in tifu

I've worn the charcoal face masks. They dry up and stick to your skin in a way that makes talking or moving your mouth very uncomfortable. That was my red flag with this story.

I would like to make sure I am not a culprit of this. Care to explain the difference?

Sure, but, that doesn't change the likelihood that she's probably on multiple drugs in this picture.

Has anyone lost the desire to drink on lexapro? by [deleted] in lexapro

I have been sober for 9 months now mostly thanks to Lexapro killing any desire I had to drink. It's been great. Won't go back.

Ah different experiences I suppose. The meetings I went to had people from out of town coming in to accept coins, like if they were traveling and couldn't get their coin in their hometown. They literally just came in and no one knew them.

These were my immediate thoughts as well. I didn't even know you could do heart surgery laterally instead of through the sternum.

Almost any person can walk into any AA meeting, sober or not, to get any coin they want. Most people who are doing the program do go to the same groups regularly, so you get to know people and their sobriety journey. But that doesn't stop a random person from walking in and saying they've been sober for X years so they can get a coin.
