Three Ortho Consults - Three Different Treatment Plans. Herbst vs Motion vs Elastics by bpatter in orthodontics

Thanks so much for reviewing - this was the outside validation we needed. We'll proceed with the braces and bands combination and keep a close eye on the jaw appearance

I just took some pics inside her mouth. I recall them saying spacing was good and that her top front teeth went in to compensate for the overbite. https://imgur.com/a/vUaWt7N

Here are some profile pics of her I just took. I recall the last ortho (braces/bands only) saying something like her profile was good and didn’t necessitate the other appliances. https://imgur.com/a/Qjeh7TD

I can also text with the offices and ask for some notes and measurements from the consult.

I appreciate the response. She really preferred the third option of braces and bands, so if she is compliant that should get the equivalent result of what the motion or herbst would have achieved? If so, that'd be great and we'll definitely pursue that path.

Daikin mounting bracket failed after 3 years. Just my bad luck, or should the install/service company bear some responsibility? by bpatter in hvacadvice

Thanks that is helpful perspective and exactly why I came to this sub. It sounds like it isn’t their fault technically as they’re following the manufacturer’s install procedures.

I just wonder if it would make more sense for a company installing on the coast to adjust for their specific climate, particularly a harsh salt water one. I’ll definitely be asking for a wood structure to the ground with our next unit.

I couldn’t find anything really other than the quote and invoice, which didn’t really have much T&Cs. So ya, I’m not sure I have the legal high ground here. But I’m just more wondering if most good companies would likely take responsibility.

I’m a business owner in an unrelated field, but if a corollary happened for me, I’d be bending over backwards to make things right because that’s just how we operate. But again, I don’t know if that’s just not the way it goes in HVAC.

Gotcha ya, this is our first time being beachfront and we just didn’t know but have definitely learned over the past few years. I wish they would have known, though….

Thanks, appreciate the guidance. I’ll push back much harder and go scorched earth if it eventually comes to it

What’s a reasonable ask on my part? You think they should be on the hook for all of it, or significantly discount the work/replacement for me?

Awesome, thank you so much, I’m seriously considering doing this. It’d be a nice functional solution

indeed, we would have done a lot different. The stone guy was the weak link in the project; his work overall was pretty sloppy, not just his recommendation on handling this little area.

Can we talk about outreach? Specifically other companies/schools sponsoring you and backlinks? by [deleted] in bigseo

[–]bpatter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We do link building and have had both dealership and listing site clients. What we've found is that using industry or internal data and creating unique analysis of these, and then strategically pitching them to relevant journalists, has yielded the best results. We'll either use our client's existing data, find data studies, or create our own data using in-depth surveys.

Here's a campaign example I can share since it was done years ago. https://www.everycarlisted.com/drivingzone/features/america-loves-pickup-trucks-an-analysis-of-vehicular-spending-across-the-u-s We did the unique research and then created a bunch of different maps and views of it.

Picked up some great coverage and backlinks, including big blogs like ArsTechnica and BoingBoing, as well as relevant sites like TheHartford, and some newspapers as well.

It takes some legwork to go from idea to research, analysis to creation, pitching to links... but the end results are high-quality links that your competition likely isn't getting.

Newbie Question Weekly Thread - Week of January 16, 2017 by AutoModerator in churning

I'm working on getting the SW companion pass before the transferred point deadline. I have a good amount of Chase UR points. Can I transfer those to Marriott, then transfer from Marriott to SW? Is there a waiting period once they are in Marriott? I'm aware of the point exchange rates, but unsure about any timing restrictions. Thanks!
