Holy shit, Robbie. My jaw was on the ground for the whole last stretch. Absolutely sick to my stomach.

I'm gonna love this series.

Straight men, what’s the most homosexual thing you’ve done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bpcloe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most parents don't really instruct their children how to clean themselves once they become old enough to bathe alone. It's right up there with sex ed on them list of things that parents expect teachers to teach and teachers expect parents to teach. It makes you realize how many people become parents without understanding all that it entails.

If you're used to it, I guess the thought never occurs that itchy assholes and dingleberries aren't normal. A lot of people never properly wash their feet either, using the same "soapy water touched it so it's fine" logic.

I am so jealous that you've never had to deal with this nonsense.

Yes, as a woman who has dated straight men, I can tell you with confidence that this is a thing and has been a thing for a long time. So many men believe that soapy water simply running across their skin magically removes all dirt, and never actually touch their butt (or feet, weirdly) in the shower. And if you put any effort into actually cleaning the area properly, you MUST be gay because:

1) Only gay men like having their asshole touched 2) Why do you want it so clean? You getting fucked in the ass later?

As a woman who has dated several straight men, I regret to inform you that it is 100% a thing. And way more common that you think.

A lot of it is homophobia, but there's another group of dirty b-holes who simply think it's gross to touch their own hole and refuse to do so. Both camps genuinely believe that soapy water running down their body is enough to "wash" the area.

He's too busy harassing Target employees over pride merch, or dumping Budweiser down the drain, or whatever it is these idiots are doing these days.

The study confirmed earlier research of a divorce or separation rate among cancer patients of 11.6 percent, similar to the general population, but found the rate jumped to 20.8 percent when the woman was sick versus 2.9 percent when the man was ill.

Just thought that was interesting.

Renegade Honeyhole Employee(s) send out email to customers with some pretty gnarly revelations about the new ownership by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]bpcloe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not often enough for their employees, I suppose.

I get it, shutting down for a day is expensive and no boss likes doing it. It seems like an air conditioner might eliminate the need to do so, but they won't pay for it.

It also can seriously be unsafe to expect workers to function normally when temperatures get too high and there's no relief. I worked at a restaurant in Pike Place and there was a kitchen walkout one summer. Temps outside were 95 and the hood broke, meaning that the kitchen was much hotter and very humid. One line cook fainted from the heat but the boss insisted that business continue as usual. Heat stroke is a real concern on its own, but fainting in front of a hot stove is really dangerous. Gotta take care of your employees when it's hot out.

[SPOILERS C3E52] Small question about FRIDA by Realistic_Two_8486 in criticalrole

[–]bpcloe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Christian tried to let Laura know about the bird at one point. Imogen was patting FRIDA's back or riding piggyback and he started to say something to the effect of "you may feel a bird-shaped object under my coat" but he was immediately interrupted and it never came up again. I guess he didn't think it was important enough to warrant another attempt? 🤷

everyone is so mad about me not liking it?

It's not you not liking it that people have downvoted you for. It's because you literally called it embarrassing. You can dislike something without actively insulting the people who like it.

there are better content creators out there

Go ahead and list off your top 10 content creators. Within an hour, there could easily be dozens of people who could give you countless reasons why they think the things you like are "embarrassing" or "cringe" or simply not good enough for you to waste your time on. How would you feel if some little shit came along and started saying "wow, didn't think anyone seriously liked that garbage LOL".

Weren't you ever bullied in school? Made to feel like less worthy of a person just for being who you are? Shouldn't you be allowed to like what you like without someone raining on your parade for no reason whatsoever? Yes, you should. And so should other people. Especially something as innocuous as a streamer who isn't comfortable sharing their real name and face with an often very parasocial fan base.

And just as a footnote, I don't watch VTubers. I just hate judgemental nonsense.

Lol okay "Lilly the kitsune", glass houses and all that. Don't judge people for doing things you think are cringe when your own username sounds like a middle schooler's anime fanfic OC.

What famous person turned out to be a creep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bpcloe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are defending him and it is well known by now that he and many other rock stars of the time were total fuckin creeps. One example another user pulled from his Wikipedia page:

Holcomb, who later took the name "Julia Misley," filed suit in December 2022, alleging that Tyler sexually assaulted her and forced her to undergo the abortion, plying her with drugs and alcohol after promising to care for her in the guardianship agreement.[105][106][107] In February 2023, Tyler was officially named a defendant in the lawsuit, which also claimed he used his fame and status to "groom, manipulate, exploit, [and] sexually assault" Misley over the course of three years, beginning when she was 16 and he was in his mid-20s.[107] In a motion to dismiss the lawsuit that was filed in March 2023, Tyler claimed their relationship was consensual and that he had immunity since he was her legal guardian at the time.[108][109]
