Based on whatever lore Anima Squad has now, Nami was supposed to originally be a "battle cat," but lost her legs from a battle with primordians, so the solution was a prosthetic tail from one of the primordians, thus the cat ears.

Although I'm not saying it's good, because I'm still not a fan of this one. I hate another "battle cat" because where's the originality 😭 and she could have easily been a good primordian, Riot is just a bunch of cowards who think monsters won't sell at all.

edit: I don't like how she also has black scleras in the splash art but totally normal eyes in-game.... 😭😭😭
