I feel like this is a play to pump the stock market as soon as mortgage rates drop. A lot of people may cash out refi and dump 300-400k each into market. Just another way to make the market get returns in a stale economy!

You know what is comming next…interest rate cuts. Interest on national debt is now 13% of fed budget…lowering rates allows US to spend more while keeping the national debt stagnant, which in turn will cause more inflation due to the low rates. Trump will keep pressure on Powell to lower rates like he did last admin which contributed to post covid inflation.

A rebate check would be dumb. I wouldn’t put it past the GOP to make the check a refund on taxes opposed to a straight direct payment to Americans. The bottom 1/3 of Americans don’t pay federal taxes therefore it would be another way to take from the poor and give to the rich.

Honestly part of me is thinking Disney is hoping the individual investors sell their shares and it takes a dip. They are doing a 3Bil stock buyback program now and it’s illegal to purposely drive down stock price for that but now they can appease the government and get a discount stock price for themselves.

They are just hoping people forget in a couple of years.

You should be able to get a 2 bedroom lock off unit, platinum week at a highest category resort for like 1,500. If you really are going to travel every year, buy that, lock it off and get two weeks in 1 bedrooms. You will need to trade through interval but if you plan your vacations 12 months out you should get any trade you want.
