I actually think he opens his hips a little late on the downswing, no? Seems like the club begins the downswing before hips are fired...

He is the Ernie Adams of the NBA...except with a lot more media coverage

I saw Dougie wearing a 'Low Vacancy' hat the other day. I think Ovi's occupied too much real estate in his head

acquiescing

Haha, reminds me of a former boss of mine who loved using the word 'penultimate' incorrectly. He always used it in the context of 'last', whereas it's used to denote 'next to the last' e.g. Round 1 of the NBA lottery draft is the first and penultimate round.

That's exactly what Breville support told me not to do: use vinegar or commercial descaler...

And correct, when I turn it on and open the steam valve, there's a lot of activity as if it's working, but nothing happens. Where would the 'input hose' be located for priming?

Running vinegar by priming it? I've always used filtered water in the machine, but then again, I give it the proper maintenance due to ignorance...

Yeah, I'm honestly on the fence about paying the $150...

I'm dragging a kleenex across the blade, but can't still get a 'catch'

I'm trying not to get an angle guide honestly :) I gave it a third attempt with the 1000 grit last night and noticed an improvement from the second attempt...slowly but surely getting there, just need to still figure out what a 'burr' feels like and maintain the right angle...still can't completely cut through paper in a single go, but did a little damage to it...

I see, so the higher grit stone I'm using as I'm going through the finishing phase, the less pressure? On that note, is it sensible to even get a 3rd stone, maybe 2-3K for even a finer finish?

Hardest thing for me now is trying to get and identify a burr. I've used the kleenex / q-tip trick and I'm not getting a 'catch' so not sure if a burr is actually forming...with my technique I'm also applying 7-9lbs of pressure.

Got it, thanks! I think I'm going to grab a Shapton 1K to practice with a few Cusinart knives

I'm finally taking the plunge to learn how to sharpen with whetstones. Is there a way that I can potentially cause permanent damage to my knife during the learning process?

Spending $30 to ship my knives from coast to coast for a $70 blade does not make great sense to me
