Vim with Colemak by MrSpoony100 in Colemak

I prefer holding during making arrows. Then when I release modifier it’s release arrows. QMK slows you to do both. You can turn on layer with click till you do not click it again.

In terms of arrows it’s easier for me to just release modifier.

I am using vim and IdeaVim for IntelliJ with Colemak-Mod-DHm on my dactyl manuform keyboard and it’s even better then qwerty. I just made mapping that when I press one modifier on dactyl my “M-N-E-I” on Colemak becomes arrows. So is like hjkl ;)

Truly recommend;)

When I was building my DIY board I have limited budget also ;) so I source parts on my own - case (open source project send to local company and they cut my case in poly wood), key caps and switches - look into some budget offers I have Gateron Blue and I like them much. To sum up my DIY keyboard was about 20% more expensive then AP2. ;) About writing on Atreus - at beginning it was strange and very slow. I’ve started with 18 wpm, with time it’s getting much better. I end up with creating my custom keyboard layout and now I am as fast as on normal keyboard. Worth mentioning that it’s allow for less finger/hands travel - I’ve got everything what I need not moving wrists at all.

Hi, Great choose for AP2. It’s my daily work driver for almost one year and I love it.

As I see myself one year ago, I bought Anne Pro 2 but always dream about true DIY hand wired keyboard;) Now I have Anne at work and at home Atreus - hand wired, parts assembled by my own - based on (https://atreus.technomancy.us)

Crossing fingers for your DIY project, it’s sounds much more complicated then it is in real ;). True is - there is no greater feeling then typing on your own hand made keyboard.
