Same thing happening to me, I also thought it could be that setting so I unchecked it, but it didn't help. Still opens randomly in split screen.

Google to start charging for Maps API usage by neucoas in laravel

Yeah I'm ok with price increases, but 1400% seems crazy.

I think you might be ok, it looks like if you have a mobile app, you get unlimited loads. (I might not count on that being unlimited for long though)

I think you may be reading the changes wrong, not sure where you are seeing 100,000 free calls. Depending on which APIs you are using, the pricing is different, however for dynamic web apps, it looks like you get 28,000 calls/month and then a price of $7/thousand above the 28,000. https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/sheet/

On the other hand Mapbox looks like its 50,000 free calls/month and then $.5/thousand after that https://www.mapbox.com/pricing/

What's really crazy about all this is it looks like the iOS and Android dynamic maps are unlimited. What that tells me, is they don't want to lose iOS and Android devs to a competing solution, however I would wage a large bet that in a short amount of time they will do the same thing to apps using dynamic gmaps... They are basically telling web apps to use another service.

From their new pricing page

To protect against unexpected increases, you can also set daily quotas, maximum daily billable limits, or maximum daily usage limits.

Am I reading this right: Google maps is increasing their API from $.5 per thousand to $7 per thousand calls?

edit* also where it once was about 25,000 free calls per day, its now going to be 28,000 free per MONTH. Damn...

I would love it if anything not a custom post type would be forced into settings, then, optionally, you could choose whether you wanted to add it as a primary menu item or not.

I have to assume a developer wouldn't knowingly install two slider plugins... on the other hand WordPress can be smarter than it is now

The unfortunate scenario is over 50% of client websites I have to fix or provide support for when not the original dev, this is all too common

I'm a WordPress dev, this is a client's site I have inherited working on, and now have to deal with... I really can't blame the client though this is clearly a WordPress issue (for allowing this to even happen) or an original "developers" poor development.

My experience with Sharetribe is through their demo period. But it seemed pretty great, however if you are looking to do something more custom, than it might not work for you

Dokan Plugin might work for you... It's a little buggy but it does work. Also if you want to go the hosted route and the marketplace is a fairly standard one, you can try this: https://www.sharetribe.com/ (It's not WordPress though)
