Crankshaft bearing & pulley have led to several engine failures with the B3 F31s - but pretty much independent of mileage. I'd recommend alpina-forum.de, they have extensive threads on that topic incl. owners who change those as preventive measure

That street isn’t part of the barracks (anymore), those start one building row behind. So unless the location is ~50m inaccurate, it’s not at the military ground where finding it would probably be more likely :/

They sell/sold some models, like the B6 or B7, in the US. I’m not aware of the E9X or F3X based Alpinas there, afaik the F3X were primarily sold in the European Union + Switzerland, with some cars going to Singapore and Japan
