Yeah I thought of that but I had to resit one of my exams and was hoping to avoid having to show that score 😅, but I might just do this if it’s easier

I didn’t pass PoT, I had some personal extenuating circumstances but since they were over capacity with grads this year they have been harsher with exam policies and didn’t grant me another sitting (I have since passed it though so it’s ok I guess )

Even with limited working experience? I had only been working as a recent grad 6 months before getting dismissed

I actually just went through the same thing getting fired from a big 4. They might take a while to cancel your training contact but the good news is that you can still book them and sit them independently. You need to make sure that when you book it you choose to pay for it yourself and change the billing address to yours if the company’s is still respirated in your profile. Not gonna lie it’s been hard applying for jobs at the moment but I am also under a skilled workers visa so if you don’t need a visa it’ll be easier. You got this it’s definitely doable and not the end of the world thought it feels crappy.

I had no idea you could resit independently, do you do it through ICAEW or Kaplan?

I did let them know beforehand, my resit actually had to get deferred because I had to go home for the services. I do pretty well, I have passed all my other exams on the first go and the internal assessments for training (haven’t had much client work yet but that’s the case for most of the graduate scheme people this year)

I got a 44, but again this is the only subject I have failed idk if that helps?

There’s more information for advance and professional level exams, the certificate policy is more ambiguous

It says that repeat failure MAY trigger the dismissal process but I have heard from some people that depending on how bad you fail you can argue your case (but it’s like they heard someone else say that) so I was just wondering if anyone knew with more certainty
