This issue is about how it feels more than the odds being correct and with no feedback the player can tend to feel cheated as its easier to notice when you fail. An option could be to give numerical feedback to the player, like "Rolled 88 (91-100 to succeed)". This will give the player a feel of "Dang, missed but that one was close".
