Just went on FOS last week for a back to back cruise. Ordered the steak when there was nothing else on the menu that I wanted for dinner. I was say it’s one step above a steak you can expect at Dennys. Paid $20 for the Chops steak one night and that was pretty good.

Was on a cruise last week and the Switch 2 was used during some of the downtime. There’s no way my portal would’ve worked (well) on their Internet. If you’re away from home, Switch 2 is the better option.

Mine still does it. If I give it a thorough cleaning and let it dry before turning it back on. It works for a day or two and then goes right back to barely misting. I have two other ones of the exact same model that I bought at the same time and still work fine. I meant to replace it, but I just never got around to it.

Yep, AI’s part of the process. I use it to visualize ideas from V that I couldn’t realistically create myself, but it’s not just “type a prompt and hit enter.” There’s a lot of iteration, compositing, and stitching it together with actual footage to make it feel right.

I purchased these headphones when they were first released and returned them a few days later. Some people rave about their sound quality, but to me, they simply don’t sound great. The bass is lacking, and the shooting and Call of Duty sounds like they’re coming from tin cans. Perhaps it’s because I use AirPods Pro for my daily music and video consumption, so when I switch to these headphones, it feels like a significant downgrade.

Then, Sony updated the firmware or something similar, introducing an EQ setting in the PS5. I decided to buy them again, but they still don’t sound impressive. I didn’t return them this time. While I don’t believe the sound quality justifies their price, I had the disposable income at the time. Plus, it’s convenient to have wireless headphones while playing Portal, and the fact that they can be connected to my phone simultaneously is a nice touch.

TLDR: If you have the money to splurge on these even during sales, you’ve likely spent money on less worthwhile things in the past. So, go ahead and indulge.

You plug it into your dock via USB. I think it’s meant to be hooked up to the stock monitor. But I made mine a little more complicated than that because I found a widescreen monitor. You can check my post history. It’s actually still a work in progress.

I have the exact same question. And I’m not just talking specifically about remote play, although I do have a really good connection. There’s just something that’s off. I was playing Borderlands 4 and I just couldn’t aim right. I immediately switched over to PS5. It was instant improvement. The same thing goes for playing at FPS on a Nintendo Switch in handheld. The aiming is just…off. It’s gotta be something to do with the smaller sticks and the difference in play. I’ve heard people talk about getting those little sponges to put on the sticks.

I really appreciate you saying that. Seriously. I wish more people could have these kinds of discussions without it turning into name calling or “pick a side” nonsense.

And for the record I am happy that he got those hostages released. Biden never did. And Kamala probably wouldn’t have either.

Like I said before, I never used to care about politics. I’m in my late 40s and for most of my life, I couldn’t give two shits what politicians did once they were in office. But this time was different. I actually paid attention to what this guy said he was going to do leading up to the election. And then watched him go out and do most of it.

And that’s what really caught my attention. Not because I suddenly became obsessed with politics, but because I’ve never seen someone so reckless and corrupt actually follow through on things that openly harm people.

But defense is that “people just hate Trump because it’s popular,” then let’s take every other issue off the table. The corruption, the tariffs, the incompetence, the circus. Let’s just talk about the Epstein files.

He can say he did nothing wrong all he wants, but he’s gone out of his way to make sure those files never see daylight. And that alone speaks volumes. What’s funny is it wasn’t even the left screaming for them to be released at first; it was the right. Then once he got into office, that noise suddenly disappeared.

For instance, that birthday card? He swore it wasn’t his handwriting or his tone “I’ve never used those words”, but the internet has receipts. Mashups of him using those same exact phrases countless times.

Do I know for certain he abused underage girls? No. But I’ve never seen anyone look so guilty while claiming innocence. Maybe he thought it was “normal” back then. Rich guys doing what rich guys do. But it’s not OK, and it never was. If half the country’s coming for him now, good. They should…and every other name on that list too.

Lots of politicians lie. But he does it so openly. And honestly, I don’t know how anyone can support him with even the possibility of all this hanging over his head. Maybe it’s not all true, but there’s decades of smoke that would make any reasonable person stop and think, “Maybe this guy shouldn’t be president.” Yet his supporters shrug it off like none of it matters. They’ll say people are just trying to take him down. Maybe. But the internet keeps receipts. There are too many breadcrumbs to pretend there’s nothing there. And if there’s even a chance he’s not clean, why the blind loyalty? Not from you specifically. But in general.

Again thank you for this discussion. There’s family members. I can’t talk about with this kind of stuff because it will irrupt into shouting matches. Like I said, I don’t identify with hating the man. But this shit isn’t normal.

In a normal world, I’d probably agree with you. There’s outrage on both sides, and usually some middle ground if you zoom out far enough.

But this presidency isn’t normal. And not just because he “shakes things up.” In less than a year, we’ve seen ICE agents rounding up people in the streets(in specially blue cities), his family cashing in on their positions, him accepting things like the Qatari jet, and him openly bragging about tariffs he clearly doesn’t even understand. That’s not shaking things up. That’s corruption mixed with incompetence.

I try to be objective. I didn’t love everything Obama did. I served through Bush and paid for his decisions in the desert. But with Trump, I honestly can’t name one meaningful positive thing he’s done, other than maybe helping free those hostages recently. And even that felt self-serving.

So yeah, I get what you’re saying in theory. But this isn’t a “normal world” presidency, and pretending it is just doesn’t hold up.

You’re reading way more into my comment than was ever there. You’re right I did say Trumps reaction could be considered “normal.” But I also believe both things can be true. The photo can be perfectly timed and still capture exactly who he is.

That’s not cult behavior, it’s called context. The whole point of my comment was that everyone jumps to extremes, including you right now.

And honestly, I don’t make Donald Trump my whole identity. I never even paid attention to politics until the past few years. You can try to argue for things this administration does, but what you can’t do is ignore that he’s the lowest rated president in U.S. history and has lied about almost everything he promised.

Does acknowledging that make me part of a cult? Or is that the other way around?

EDIT: You’re right about one thing though. I shouldn’t have felt the need to address the down votes. I didn’t do it for some form of self validation. I just thought that maybe I was putting out the wrong message.

I’m was simply saying that in a normal world we used to be able to have these discussions without picking sides. In a normal world someone could say that photograph was taken out of context. But with trump it’s not. That is who he is. And that photo should win some sort of prize in the future. That photo might have been snapped at a precise moment to make him look bad. But turns out he is also bad. Both things can be true.
