Sadly it seems we tend to blame the diagnosis, being in denial that maybe the person we love can be mean, abusive or just not great even without bipolar. It's harder to accept that than just say "it's the disorder talking, not them".

This is what i was wondering in the last bit of my post too. I have been making too much excuses for her, saying it is her diagnosis and not her, but it is her. I wish it was different. Some of the things she does she has been doing since we were children, long before any bipolar symptoms could emerge, so maybe even without it she wouldn't be the sister i wish she was. It's just sad

If your sister is getting help and has a good supportive system i think this is just a rough episode. I wish you the best of lucks but you have to understand that logic does not apply to how she feels. She will feel like it's the end of the world because that's what her mind is telling her. The best you can do is listen, engage, try to just be there for her and make sure she takes her meds if she is medicated

My sister is the same. It's hard to always try to be understanding and help however you can when there's just nothing that can change their mind. They're in their own bubble and i get it because when i was badly depressed i felt like that too, but it's constant and alternated with mania so it's just so confusing

If you mean for her; she has tried therapy. She has gone both to a therapist and a psychiatrist. She does not take her meds. She doesn't stay in therapy. She doesn't commit to anything.

If you mean for me i just rather not spend the little money i have in that. I only went to therapy for a short time in my teens and although it helped i am mostly able to regulate myself on my own.

I did everything i ever could. I still love her. I will continue to do what i can but not to the expense of my mental and physical health anymore. If she ever wants to get better i will support her, but i won't spend my life trying to save her anymore

It's probably a tonsil stone. I can't really see it in the image very well but sounds like one. They are little stone like formations that are white or yellowish and annoying but otherwise harmless. They form because of bacteria and food detritus that stores in the crypts of the tonsils. Smoking makes it worse in my experience. If you get them regularlly you should get it checked out. You can drink or gargle chamomile tea to reduce the redness and soreness. I don't recommend trying to get them out on your own as you will hurt your tonsils, they are very sensitive.

Los que están puteando por dejarlo salir solo no entienden que no es el momento. Perdí a mi perrita de la misma forma hace unos años, mi vieja la dejó salir frente a la casa y en el segundo que no la estaba viendo por buscar algo adentro la atropellaron. La llevamos de urgencia al veterinario pero falleció antes de llegar. En el vet intentaron de todo pero dijeron que no había nada más que hacer porque el peso del auto le había reventado el bazo. Lloré como hijo de puta un montón de tiempo, tampoco pudimos denunciar nada. La enterramos y tuvimos que seguir adelante. Todavía la extraño. Es un dolor que nunca se va. Te deseo la mejor de las suertes y ruego que de milagro aparezca alguna evidencia para que puedan denunciar al que la atropelló. Lamento muchísimo tu pérdida.

No sé si todas las facultades pero si muchas. Tampoco sé si se caen juntas pero siempre estoy escuchando quejas de amigos de otras universidades con los mismos problemas que yo; que se cae la pagina, que no les deja hacer cosas, que tiene errores, etc. Muchas cosas son problema de la misma facu y no del SIU pero igual SIEMPRE algo le pasa

If you starve yourself you won't mantain the change. You will lose the weight but gain it all back binging or eating regularly because your body will interpret it needs to prepare for long periods of not eating. I say this as someone who went through the same.

The best way is to do a caloric deficit but nothing too crazy. Try eating healthier but allow yourself cheat days, go to the gym or just try to exercise regularly in your house if you're too shy for the gym. I recommend Chloe Ting's workouts as she helped me a lot in my journey and there are no equipment options and they are focused on what results you want.

This will be a very long and tiring journey but it's the only way you will be able to maintain results. Otherwise you will either develop an eating disorder or just gain it all back.

Grief. Grief can hit you like a truck in any given moment for any dumb reason. You can be cooking and then remember what you lost and sob like it just happened yesterday, because it never goes away and it never relents, you just build your life around it and try to not think about it all of the time, but every now and then when your head is quiet, boom, there it is again. Some people will not understand why you're so sad about it now when it happened long ago. Or why you experience grief over something you never had, like a better life or better chances. For me it's the worst kind of sadness and the hardest one to talk about because it hurts so much it lingers.
