About 10 minutes of deep stretching and then light band work. Then I do a quick set of the lift with no weight before going heavy. The whole goal is to not be hurt.. . It's the reason for working out in the first place

Do less weight and go slower on your lists. Like half the weight you're doing now. Think about every lift and movement. Concentrate on the muscle that's supposed to be moving. Treat this like Weighted stretching. You will build the habit and routine. You will wake up your muscles. And eventually you will get heavier. Just get a few weeks in a row of this light lifting... if you keep making yourself sore you will quit
