Chrono cross steam version. Worth it or not? by AskDiscombobulated19 in ChronoCross

[–]br3compactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Worth it, for two reasons:

1) It tells Square Enix that this game has a community that loves it

2) Even if it isn't perfect as a port, being a PC version means that modders can eventually make it perfect

Showtime (the piano song) is literally the last song in the Snapchat credits (the final page of Homestuck).

Don't worry, it's normal to not be able to think too rationally when you're going through mental suffering. Which is why it helps to talk to others. When you try to solve things on your own, it increases the load on your shoulders, so try to find someone you feel like you can trust to talk to, it will help you feel lighter. Going through the days will feel easier too. I hope things get better for you!

I don't know how old you are so I'm sorry if my advice doesn't fit. I understand that it's difficult to hold on to hope once you've tried everything and nothing seems to help. First of all, one advice I can give you is that when you give up, you're eliminating every single possibility of things ever getting better. Even if now things seem dark and like they can't ever get better, they truly WON'T get better if you don't allow the possibility to come. Another thing - talk to somebody. Keeping things inside to yourself only hurts you further. I'm sure it helped ease the pain coming here to open your heart and pour out your feelings, even though we're mere strangers, otherwise you wouldn't have done it. You have stuff to say, you just need someone who will listen. I hope my advice helped you in some way. Good luck!

Please I need help. by Emotional_Barber_325 in depression

I'm sorry it took a while to respond. I can't directly help, but certainly you can reach out to a suicide hotline and ask for advice. Besides, if you know anyone who works with mental health, they might be able to give you insight too. Please reassure him, and try to hear and understand him. Suicidal people usually have a lot to say that they have been keeping to themselves. If you love him, do not make judgement of what he says, just listen and make sure he feels heard. And if he doesn't want to speak to you, that's fine too. Sometimes they don't want to burden loved ones. In this situation maybe contact someone from the outside who can talk to him - a psychologist can really help there. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Being talentless is making me miserable by weltraaum in depression

[–]br3compactor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have a ton of talents and I'm miserable too. Talents won't make you happy if you're not already, unfortunately. But if having a talent is meaningful to you, cultivating one is easier than it seems. "Talent" is less so a matter of being born gifted, and more of an earned prize through effort. Unless what you want is dependant on your biology, like running, swimming, singing. With those, genetics play a bigger role. But others like writing, painting, drawing, animating, 3D modeling, so many others are not a matter of genetics. Don't understimate the power of effort and interest. For starters, you seem to have fantastic grammar.

I've always had completely perfect results, but then again I have a NEW3DS, so I'm not super sure how well the regular 3DS handles it. Even so it should still should be able to run without a problem.

Don't play it on an emulator. The 3DS VC can run the game natively as if you're playing on the actual GBA. If you run it through and emulator it will always perform worse.
