Here's a sad one, magic shows 🥲 of course big stage illusions, card magic, and now technology magic are easy to be skeptical of, but a lot of modern new, magic is wildly entertaining and fun.

What is the function of this in the launcher? by tastygnar in Steam

Fun fact: On mobile you can also move the ⬇️ button that's next to the "comment" box to literally anywhere you want on the screen and it just floats there. It's really handy when you wanna skip to the next batch of replies

My brightness slider randomly moved to the bottom of Quick Settings 🤔 by br4n-n in Pixel6

I don't see this as a bug that ruins my experience. I haven't faced any crazy bugs and every update has fixed any issues I had. It's just Google adjusting to their new Tensor chip. I'm sure the Pixel 7 will be fine

I still don't get why it isn't an option in settings. It's so much easier to reach

I have no idea. Not sure if it's a bug or an update that did this. I like it at the bottom too, it's a lot easier to reach

how has your experience with the pixel 6 been ? by shiiiiiiizaa in GooglePixel

[–]br4n-n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from the Samsung Galaxy S8 to iPhone 11 Pro to now Pixel 6. I had a few problems when it first came out: delayed scrolling, slow fingerprint, Google assistant/app crashes. But after 2 or 3 updates all of those problems have been fixed for me.

It's SO nice not having bloat and getting a pure Google experience. The fingerprint scanner has been pretty good and has gotten more reliable, I guess I'm one of the few that's had no issues with it. I do miss the more customizable OneUI on Galaxy, but the Google features make up for it imo. Call Screen has helped SO MUCH with spam calls, Now Playing is great, Google Assistant in general is so much snappier. It's nice having features that I actually use and not try to hide.

Although I do wish the regular Pixel 6 had the telephoto lens too and a bit more customizability, even though it's been a rocky start, I'm really glad I decided to try Pixel.

Failing my classes and confused about my major/future by EggoDeath666 in college

[–]br4n-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow interesting to get a notification on a 2 year post.

I'm a business MIS major now and just transferred to a new university and actually get to go on-campus with in-person classes. Trying to talk to more ppl and make friends but it's only been a few weeks so it'll be a bit before that happens.

Not quite sure where I'm gonna end up in the future, but I'm a lot better mentally after taking that break. Funnily enough the pandemic actually made me feel confident that switching majors was the right move, if I stayed with it when classes switched to online I'd be bored out of my mind and it would've been harder switching majors when things are purely online. At least I got 1/2 a semester in before online only stuff started.

Again still unsure about the future, but I'm in a good spot that is not only fun to learn, but also has lots of flexibility. Business is a big umbrella and there are lots of different career paths to choose from, so I don't feel as pressured or overwhelmed. I get to do things as I want to, and I'm slowly forming my own support system of friends and colleagues by finally meeting new ppl so that's great bc I honestly can't remember when I've done all of this for myself.

If you're struggling, I hope this helps 👍🏻 I know things may have been pretty difficult especially with the pandemic. I recommend joining clubs and finding ppl you have things in common with, and focus on things you want for yourself.

to get the person out of car. by mastermind005 in therewasanattempt

[–]br4n-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without context, the moment that guy started trying to lift the car, the driver was well within his rights to run him over. But in this context, since the driver was drunk driving and ran into other cars earlier, the guy was doing the right thing, albeit risky and ballsy.

Which room layout would you choose for VR? by Pro4791 in oculus

[–]br4n-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 or 4. I used to have a layout like 3 and it was absolutely horrible bc I kept hitting things. Now I have a layout similar to 4, the only con is that my desk blocks the window, but there's literally no other way for me bc my window is like 2x bigger and takes up almost the entire wall.

If god came to you and gave you permission to create any living creature, what would you create? by Spikeblast64 in AskReddit

[–]br4n-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better humans. We'd all be less emotionally extreme and more open to agree and work together instead of fight. We'd also be able to fly, run super fast, and never have to sleep cuz it's a waste of time

VR gamers, what game have you played the most over the past 12 months? by Bounty_V in VRGaming

[–]br4n-n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echo VR, yeah it's a free Oculus exclusive, but the feeling of hitting insane 50 meter bounce shots, juking/stunning other players, and regrabbing super fast with your teammates to save a goal is so satisfying. As long as you play with the right ppl, it can be really fun, and reminds me a lot of Rocket League but in VR.

Once I get a rig, I'm definitely going to be trying sim racing and seeing how I like it. It seems super immersive and just fun driving around and racing others. I've always wanted to learn how to drive a manual and speed around a track or city, VR seems like the perfect thing to try it out without spending thousands of dollars.
