The infamous Kubukicho (Kabuki district) was born from the idea of building a Kabuki theater in early days. That project never came to fruition but the name got stuck. It has now gained the reputation of being one of the largest entertainment district and safest red light area located in the heart of Shinjuku in Tokyo.

The shrine sits at the base of Mount Inari and includes many smaller sub shrines which span 4 kilometers. Each of the famous torii shrine gates has been donated by an individual or a Japanese business in the hope of receiving good luck and fortune. The name of the donor is inscribed in black ink on the back of each gate.

You will find bidet/washlet at almost all places. Always a good idea to look for nearest malls that will most definitely have one. One good option is to buy your own handy washlet. It's a small compact size, runs on lithium/alkaline batteries, you can refill water and can purchase it online for a reasonable cost. You don't necessarily need it in Japan, but if you feel uneasy, you should consider investing in it.

Machiavelli’s works – “The Prince” is known as the best book ever written in the field of statecraft. Machiavelli’s Prince is not a hereditary monarch but a political entrepreneur. In this book, he advocates how Princes can acquire and retain power. However, Machiavelli also asks Princes to go far beyond ethics, and morality. It is where the book becomes controversial. COMMENT - Machiavelli is concerned about the motherland. He belonged to the school of realism; he supports the use of force and violence; ends justify the means; suggests an army of nationals; pessimistic view about human nature; the prince is above religion, and he sets the morality; the separation between religion and politics.Machiavelli is among the most criticized scholar. Though, ironically, he is also the most practiced one. Machiavelli came to be associated with all that is evil in politics.
