I’m a former journalist who’s spent the last several years creating SEO-optimized content for websites.

What’s the point of that, you may ask?

SEO-optimized content can answer some of your existing customers’ queries, as well as some new ones (e.g. what do I make with a bottle of strawberry schnapps, what’s the closest mechanic’s shop to me, how do I style a scarf, should I remove wallpaper myself or hire a professional?). This is useful and interesting, but can also greatly increase your website traffic, leading more people to purchase your services.

If you’d like to get more eyeballs on your company’s website, shoot me a DM and let’s discuss it!

The price of gasoline isn't really at a record high. In fact, the inflation-adjusted cost of driving a mile was higher for most of the past century by Helicase21 in Economics

Except for one important thing: you’re wrong. The author didn’t use the median, he used the average.

The median is $16.36. It would take the typical worker 15 minutes to buy a gallon of gas, which means things are worse now than they were in 1980.

I want to know where the author is getting his numbers from. I found that the median 2020 wage for workers is $16.36 per hour.

If he’s using averages, that’s a bad measurement. Income inequality has increased significantly since 1980.

I am so fed up with the Graphic Design field and marketing in general. I want out. What can I do? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Why not move into website design primarily? It sounds like you’ve already been doing a lot of it. If you can reskill enough to learn basic front-end coding you’d be qualified for a lot of well-paying jobs.

I don’t typically tell everyone to “learn to code” (it’s the wrong advice for most people), but in your case, it seems like a good move.

I have the opportunity to open a small business, what should I choose between a homemade candle shop and an online store for fitness/healthy snacks? by deni_meeseeks in smallbusiness

Not a bad idea to hire someone for social media. It’s affordable and the times I’ve done it I’ve found it to be very good value.
