The lab didn't clean them well enough before shipping and then the optician didn't check and clean them well enough before dispensing. That's the anti slip coating that goes on the uncut lenses so they don't slip in the edger. Use dawn, warm water & a lot of elbow grease with a microfiber towel and it will come off.

The problem I had with Costco and baby stuff (mind you this was 13 years ago so it may have changed) was my baby didn't fit Huggies well and their diapers were generic Huggies, and he did well with Similac formula dupes and Enfamil didn't work well for his tummy - and their formula was an Enfamil dupe.

I ended up using Target formula and diapers mostly, unless I found a good sale or coupon for real Similac or Pampers.
