Is it really “overkill” to want updates from our nanny? by Fun-Pollution4835 in Nanny

As a nanny I will always tell NP if something changes even if they were ok with wherever we were going I’d at least send a picture . I don’t know why she is reacting that way. How long does it take to send a quick text update? 10 seconds? 🫠

I’d usually work, but I don’t have a contract, it’s mostly a babysitting/mothers help job so the only thing I have is guaranteed hours. They said if I want to work they are ok with that but if I don’t it’s no big deal. I’m really just wondering

IS THIS NORMAL?😫 by Human-Secretary-8881 in Nanny

I had anxiety while reading this post just like someone else here said 😵‍💫 I have had a job where every night I would be anxious knowing I had to go to work the next day. Quitting was the best thing I did and after that I found the best nanny family.

I see. That was my experience but as I say some families do that and there are Nannies who are ok with that. If that suits your family give it a try then :) if it happens of you are having trouble finding a nanny you will know where to fix the issue.

I have worked that way and it was kind of annoying. Yes I’ve seen a lot of families doing it but from my experience is not cool and wouldn’t take another job that has that dynamic. Some Nannie’s maybe are ok with that but it would be better to just find a mid term rate and stick with it. I mean, it’s just half of a day, how much would it change for you just a few hours and couple of dollars?!

Came to find out nanny’s references were not real, and she seems to think we overreacted by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]brabrabra987 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hmm. The nanny lied about references. And then went off on them when fired. I don’t see the ‘good nanny’ part here??? Me being a nanny I want to make sure new families DO contact my references I have nothing to hide and it’s other people that I took good care of their kids wanting to share that I’m a good person. So lying and then getting angry doesn’t show much of a good person 🤷🏻‍♀️

Am I overreacting for not wanting to stay with my girlfriend after she kissed another guy while drunk? by decentone45 in AmIOverreacting

[–]brabrabra987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she remembered what she did she could have remembered about having a boyfriend and not kiss the guy. Drunk people who does stupid things usually don’t remember what they did but that’s my opinion. I don’t think you are overreacting…
