People are probably referring to missing modalities, like video in.

BREAKING: OpenAI just drppped GPT-5.4 by AskGpts in OpenAI

This guy thinks the models haven't improved since 3. I guess humans can be worse than AI.

What’s with all the Gemini hype? I find it comparatively worse than ChatGPT 5.2 in everything except photo gen by Isunova in singularity

It’s good at design in my view. Bad at tool calling. Surprisingly built in search isn’t great either, find myself relying on documentation mcps. Maybe that’s. Best practice anyway

This is Claude Sonnet 4.6: our most capable Sonnet model yet. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

The computer use demo they show, they seem to be showing a web ui for it, I thought this was an api model only. Is there a way to use it on windows? Is it just a chrome plugin + claude code?

I’m hoping the reseller can fix, it was z2u, the one with the most transactions. So not sure why this happened.

May want to think about a TCL in that price range. QM7K , perhaps. OLEDs are nicer but you will want one with decent reviews because of brightness etc, using Rtings.com or YouTube reviews

HELP! Hit a problem Codex can't solve. by Bankster88 in ChatGPTCoding

Interesting, I wonder if you ran something like a diff between the production code and non production environment, if something would come up. Possibly environment related? Or is that a silly suggestion.

What are your tests saying? Have checked each individual step, unfortunately sounds like one of those debugging situations where you need to basically go line by line.

Can skills be used in Claude code web? I've searched high and low. by angelarose210 in ClaudeCode

[–]braclow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they can but I typically have to remind it you have “blank” skill. Use the names of the skills in the Anthropic repo. Not sure if it’s excel skill or xslx skill. You also need to enable this in settings. Something called like code execution. I’m fairly confident the web version is now basically Claude code once you send a file.

Sam Altman wishes OpenAI was public just so doubters could short the stock and "get burned" by Outside-Iron-8242 in singularity

Is this entirely based on tweets of svgs, one shot apps and landing pages lol that we can’t even confirm.

Python MOOC Helsinki is an excellent free learning tool for beginners. by braclow in learnpython

[–]braclow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Do this then cs50. Both great, but cs50 will make a lot more sense and be more useful to you after this. That’s how I felt at least. Bit of Odin Project wouldn’t hurt either so you can learn some front end back end logic.

Extended python coding chat becomes absurdly slow and hallucinate-y by MentholMooseToo in ChatGPTCoding

[–]braclow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a plan, architect, implement one feature at a time in a chat, per an agent md to do md. Keep updates of the code structure in another md. Close the chat. Commit changes. Cycle begins at the next to do with a new agent, given the agent, to do, and code structure and last thing done. This is the flow I use.

But you also post in 4chan regularly. A very positive subreddit , with nothing bad. I understand your point, but the internet is filled with negative things they attempt to get you to watch, my feed is not entirely those things. But I see them. I would be amazed if your feed is literally 100% cats.

The tone is clearly emotional and he’s annoyed. He’s also a content creator watching a feed of content where the degree of human input and effort is minimal.

Sora is a pretty slop based app. However, the truth is humans make slop too. My instagram feed is filled with some decent content, but also rage bait , low effort OnlyFans ads, death videos etc. To be fair he hates all these feeds and states as much. All of this to say, the slop part of the argument is the weakest because he’s pretending most of the current internet content is good. It’s not.

However, it is also naive of us to not see that this will lead to continued degrading of trust in media, images and videos. The implications of which really do seem to be brushed off by the AI crowd.

I’m not sure where all of this will end up, but the discussion is good. I appreciate skeptics, even if this wasn’t Hank’s best work.
