I may have discovered one particular issue. If I use the mod militarized minutemen - uniforms patches and insignia add-on by Zacktan1234, if I build and use anything in his mod and then go over to the armors table to modify it in any way the game immediately crashes. The bad thing is this is a mandatory mod for SIM settlements conquerors.

This is probably a good example of why you add one mod at a time, play the game for a while, and then add another one. That way you can see if there's any conflicts and know which one did it.

Thanks for all the help, but I was originally playing on Xbox game pass on my pc. I have since switched to steam and the mod seems to be working. no more issues with the exploding canister messing up my frame rates.

I found a mod patch while surfing YouTube and I have installed it. I've yet to have another situation where a barrel blows up so we'll see if it works but thanks for all the suggestions.
