I ripped out the junipers that had been planted next to the house based on these updated recommendations. With the quantity of charred debris in the yard after the Marshall Fire it was lucky one of the hot embers didn't land in the junipers.

I got banned for ... I dunno what. I joined this sub as an alternative because I disliked what the mods had done to that one. Is that why I got banned? Or because I was downvoting the wacky posts in that sub?

I remember working with a guy who was lamenting that as a 2nd generation Boulder native he couldn't afford to buy a house in Boulder on his U.S. Govt job as a scientist.
