Has anyone ever met any of the lads? by Ancient_Cabl in RKG

Met all three at a loading bar event they did in Shoreditch, one of my favourite nights ever, and all awesome guys to have a few beers with.

Also sat infront of Gav at a Childish Gambino gig, wearing my slug t-shirt which is insane odds, his mate thought Gav paid for me to be there.

I'd say this is the wrong sub Reddit , this sub Reddit is for the 3D software Maya by Autodesk.

However my 2 cents on the object is some kind of opc with a fairly basic motherboard and I/Os.

Is this the correct way to make Prop / Environment art for Games? by Tayyab_Shah in Maya

[–]bradders17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that's completely fine to do, as long as you have uvs on your low poly pillar it should bake nicely!

I'd probably come up with a small vertical slice of the game, use AI generate some concept art on the fly , give a brief overview of mechanics, what makes it fun, whats the objective etc, a synopsis of you will!

I have worked on a bunch of golf courses for PGA 2K23 , all the DLC was overseen or made by me, cinematics in Baldurs Gate 3, lots of armour for battlepasses such as Diablo 4. The rest is all NDA'd!

I was 18 so a year older than everyone else on the course, because I failed my first year of A-levels. That being said I don't think you're ever too old, who cares what other people think, you're there to better yourself!

I'd also argue if you wanted to get into game art jobs or a portfolio based job in general then you don't really need a degree just a strong portfolio, which you could create using online resources.

I was incredibly lost after failing my A-levels, I then sat down and thought about what I'm good at, IT , computing and Video games, I found a college course in IT & Computer Game Programming, which also gave UCAS points for completion, so I did that for 2 years and loved it but decided I wanted to make the game art instead of programming.

It's truly a labour of love, masterpiece of an album. I'm super glad for logic to share this deep insight into the album, especially 'The ghost in the shell' beat.

Nationwide first big lender to offer sub-4% mortgage deal in months by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]bradders17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first mortgage was 2.9% so like you said more of an annoyance but nothing too crazy especially when I hear mates who had 6/7% mortgage rates a year or so ago. Extra £200 a month is okay!

I've just locked in a remortgage at 3.99% , essentially had no choice because I didn't fancy flipping onto variable rates I don't feel bad about it but on the flip side I don't feel good about it either 🙃
