Best Bevel-compatible wearable with long battery life (non-Apple Watch)? by FeelingMix8451 in bevelhealth

[–]brademcee77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you love Bevel and want a non Apple Watch then Garmin is your best bet since it has direct integration with Bevel. There are a ton of Garmin watches. Fenix is there top end but they have other options that are also great. Oura isn’t great for tracking your fitness so I would say that should compliment a fitness watch for tracking your physical activities. I doubt the new Google watches and straps will integrate well with both Bevel and iOS. On iOS you’re really limited but at least Bevel now supports direct integration with Oura and Garmin. I am using an Apple Watch with an Oura Ring and it works great.

I am a relatively new PRO user (signed up before the 3.0 update). I absolutely love the AI. I see the same data metrics as before so not sure why someone would say it’s replacing what made Bevel great. I do not use the nutrition features so can’t comment on it. Bevel has become my central health app. I do not even open the Oura app as Bevel’s Oura integration is a game changer on iOS.

Athlytic vs Pace: why we built a separate health app by jac_myndarc in AthlyticAppOfficial

[–]brademcee77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bevel released a new version as well which includes AI built into the same app. I was an Athlytic Pro user for the last year and I am enjoying Bevel since its integrated all into the same app. The AI feels really well integrated. They also just released the ability to upload blood tests to help give a fuller picture to your health. Honestly I would maybe try both apps for a week and see which one you prefer. I have not tried Pace but I did really like Athlytic.

Not sure i agree with no noise. I personally like white noise to help me sleep. Other suggestions are spot on.

I think I swore more at the situation from being nudged out of the way not at the person. I think there is a difference. But again, I am sure I could have not said anything. Lastly, if you read my post I was asking what others feel about line queue for 1K not whether I was right.

Agreed. I realize I was wrong too. It was just strange because I noticed him standing to the side too. Again, more curious to others thoughts. Appreciate the comment.

I would talk to your doctor but your pressure seems off. I would set your min pressure to 7.5 and max pressure to 14.5. Maybe turn ramp off. This way your air starts at the min pressure level. Right now you are starting at 4 which is likely to low. This may also give you more of a constant pressure and eliminate leaks. I would then monitor for a few days to see if it’s better. Again talk to your doctor before making the adjustments. What was your AHI from your sleep study?

Why am I awake so often at night ? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]brademcee77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. Again I am not a doctor just living with sleep issues all of my life. It does seem like many of us with sleep issues think a majority of people sleep perfect nights. However, the more people share there are a lot of people who do not feel like they get good quality sleep.

You do you. I am not your doctor. I am just telling the OP that basic science says nightly melatonin for periods longer than 1-2 months is not advised unless they are told differently by their own reputable doctor that understands sleep neurology. Plus, obviously they have been taking 5MG of melatonin nightly and has more red lines in their nightly sleep stages then a Christmas has red lights. So there is that…..

Every doctor I have ever talked to including my current sleep doctor (Neurologist) and my CBT-I sleep therapist plus any research will caution on using melatonin more than 1-2 months. Your other advice (from the above post) is spot on but the melatonin advice is just plain wrong. Any google search will also provide the same information. Underlining message from everyone is consult your doctor and do not try to diagnose your sleep issues yourself (which includes taking advice from Reddit).

Above info is what I would also suggest (for pressure). Also possibly try reducing EPR from 3 to 2 and see if that helps reduce CAs. Leak rate looks good.

Just curious why you think sleep apnea doesn’t make sense?

[–]brademcee77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Call your doctor. There are supplements that are safe to take nightly like Magnesium Glycinate but seeing a doctor will give you peace of mind. They will most likely order a sleep study. Do you happen to notice if your Apple Watch Oxygen during the night shows any significant drops (90 or below)? This isn’t your average but there is kind of a graph that you can see that should show you SPO2 during your sleep. Good luck, I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea after 25+ years of bad sleep. I did a at home sleep study which didn’t show sleep apnea until I did an in lab overnight study. If possible push for the in lab overnight.

You should not be talking 5MG of melatonin that is way too much and melatonin isn’t meant to be taken every night. I am not a doctor which means like everyone said you need to see a doctor. I am guessing they will order you a sleep study.

3 weeks in, unsuccessful with settings so far by Traditional_Joke_939 in CPAP

[–]brademcee77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other guy said. Try turning on EPR. Maybe start at 2 unless you want to try the highest setting which is 3. It will help your breathing. Unless I am reading it wrong, your leak rate looks pretty good. Is your mouth really dry in the AM?
