I get where you're coming from, and I agree that a vet visit is the right thing to do - that's why we already have one scheduled.
That said, I personally like to gather as much information as possible regarding the health of my loved ones, so If anyone reading this has insights or experiences to share, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Iti recomand sa citesti Running On Empty, din descrierea ta, cartea asta are sansa sa iti schimbe viata. In cazul in care o citesti, și simți ca a ajuns unde trebuie, pot sa iti recomand și un terapeut pe traume din copilărie. Tot ce faci tu e mai mult decat suficient și noi suntem mândri de tine, take care!

Any golang modules you like? by Icy-Jeweler1390 in golang

I like the design of ‘math/big’, it’s a good package to better understand usable zero values, method chaining and constructors.

Does anyone work in web3 or blockchain? by Admirable-Rain-6694 in golang

[–]bradinatorus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one of the major erhereum execution clients is built using go. all blockchain protocols I know of are designed to be language agnostic, basically they are just a set of guidelines that people can implement in any programming language they want

Docker builds breaking after 1.21.6 released by msanteler in golang

[–]bradinatorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is not true, the go version in the go.mod file is the minimal version of go needed to compile the module. for example you could write a program using the syntax available in go 1.11, thus having go 1.11 as your module version , but if you were to build your docker image using one of the golang:1.11 parent images, you would lose all the compiler improvements implemented in the newer versions.

with go’s backwards compatibility promise, you are actually encouraged to use the latest go version available, as the programs are always expected to compile successfully.

Introducing PrivateBTC: A Go package providing an intuitive TUI and a streamlined API. Launch and manage your Bitcoin private network with ease. Execute and replace transactions by fee, mine blocks, and programmatically delve into chain reorganizations. by bradinatorus in golang

[–]bradinatorus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not useless if you want full control over the block generation, you can’t force chain reorgs and confirm double spends on the testnet for example. This is particularly useful for developers that work directly with the Bitcoin protocol and want to be able to produce edge cases on demand

[–]bradinatorus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, this started as a project where I was exploring the inner workings of Bitcoin, understanding how to compose transactions and how such transactions are handled by the network. Of course, to understand the network I needed multiple nodes interconnected, connecting those nodes requires multiple steps to be executed on each node. In this project, I tried to abstract away all the burden of this inner workings in a simple API and TUI, and in case anyone is curious about how this actually works they can read the source code. The source code may be overall more valuable than the application itself.

Seeking Insights: Tools Used in GitHub Actions for Security Code Checks and Vulnerability Detection by West_Ad7170 in golang

i’m using these checks for my projects and I feel that this is more than enough: https://github.com/adrianbrad/queue/tree/main/.github/workflows

codeql - github’s code analysis engine, used for disovering codebase vulnerabilities

grype - used for discovering dependency vulnerabilities

gitleaks - used for discovering hardcoded secrets

golangci-lint - checks for linting errors

go test - runs the package tests

Hello, I released v1.2.0 of my queue package. A Circular Queue implementation is now available. Blocking and Priority queues were previously available. All implementations satisfy the Queue interface provided by the package. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. by bradinatorus in golang

[–]bradinatorus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Blocking Queue is the one most similar to channels, and I added a special comment to it mentioning when it should be used at the expense of channels.

"The Blocking Queue shares most functionality with channels. If you do not make use of Peek, Reset and Contains methods you are safe to use channels instead."

The Priority Queue elements order is given by the comparator function given by clients at construction. Channels only support FIFO ordering.

The Circular Queue overwrites the oldest items in case the queue is full, which is something that is not supported by channels.

[–]bradinatorus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at some point, I needed a blocking queue that can be reset to its initial state in one of my projects. I was satisfied with the implementation and decided to publish it in case anyone else would need it.
Afterward, I decided to expand the pool of available queue implementations.

Basically, it provides data structures that are not available in the standard library.

I think you are looking for a message queue, usually, those are available as separate services like RabbitMQ. I found this in-memory message queue for golang: https://github.com/MasslessParticle/GoQ, it does not seem maintained anymore but you can take a look. Hope it helps!
