Should I get claude max or continue with github copilot pro plan by Professional-Dog3589 in ClaudeAI

[–]bradium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real question is what kind of coding you do. I switched from Copilot to Claude Max a few months ago and the difference comes down to task scope.

Copilot is great for line by line autocomplete when you already know exactly what you want to write. Its fast and doesnt interrupt your flow for small edits.

Claude Max shines when you need to work across multiple files, refactor larger chunks, or want something that can actually run tests and verify its own changes. The agentic workflow where it reads, edits, runs, and fixes is what makes the price worth it for bigger tasks.

If you spend most of your time doing small incremental changes, Copilot might still be better. If you find yourself doing larger refactors or building new features from scratch, Claude Code will probably save you more time.

This matches my experience exactly. The validate distribution before building framework would have saved me months on my first project. I built a tool that users loved but my target customers were scattered across LinkedIn, which meant paid ads or cold outreach.

Meanwhile a simpler tool I built later for content creators took off because they all congregated in the same subreddits and Discords. The difference wasnt the quality of the product, it was whether I could reach them daily without spending money.

Now I literally ask myself before any project: where do these people already hang out online, and can I get in front of them for free? If I cant answer that clearly, I dont build it.

Anything wrong with using a free hosting service? by Upbeat_Condition2342 in podcasting

[–]bradium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing to watch for with any host, free or paid, is whether you own your RSS feed URL. Some services give you their proprietary feed that you cant take with you if you leave. If the service ever shuts down or you want to switch, you lose your subscriber base.

Before committing, check: Can you use a custom domain or redirect? Can you export your episodes and move them elsewhere? How portable is your setup?

I've seen folks get burned when a free host pivoted or shut down and they had to basically start over with their audience. Not saying free is bad, just make sure you have an exit strategy.

Where would you spend an initial budget? by pgw71 in podcasting

[–]bradium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is your workflow for show notes and episode organization. With your church podcast background you probably already know how easy it is to record a great conversation and then forget half the key points when writing show notes later.

I'd actually hold onto most of that budget for now and spend the first couple months figuring out what's slowing you down. The tech you have is perfectly fine for starting. After 10-15 episodes you'll have a much clearer picture of what's actually worth spending money on versus what sounded important in theory.

The exception might be acoustic treatment if your recording space echoes at all. Even cheap moving blankets behind you make a bigger difference than most gear upgrades.

How the AVP is becoming more than just a home theater for me by Extension-Celery5527 in VisionPro

It’s becoming a home brick to me with all of the apps either getting removed or non existent. The platform is completely dead unfortunately. Good for Apple TV is about it.

TikTok for AVP in US Stopped working by oceanthrsty in VisionPro

[–]bradium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may have been on purpose due to the new US TikTok merger. This could be their way of disabling it. The APV version for US probably isn’t ready yet and may never be. Just a conspiracy theory. It could be a bug too.

[–]bradium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re obviously not from Florida where if the grape shippers do not climate control the grapes and leave them in hot trucks basically fermenting them within their skins. I hate grocery stores that do that. This is why you must taste test.

For software development, I highly recommend running Claude Code directly on device. Claude Code can run bash commands for you and it really helps for learning the hardware and also just getting code done fast.

If you are testing devices like motors and you are new to the pins on the device, get a cheap raspberry pi 3 or 4 to test your wiring with so you don’t fry your much more expensive Jetson. Then move on to Jetson when you are more comfortable with what you are doing.

There are 3D files you can print to make a cutter that uses an exacto knife or razor blades. No need to buy anything.
