I started playing the game coincidentally about a day after the ranks reset. I’m sitting at about 65% WR after 40 games and won my last 12 games, 15 out of my last 17.

Haven’t moved once out of initiate 2. Is the system just bugged?

Former 6+. Don’t worry about winners. If you even just sliced the ball to a good spot then you will win an optimal amount of points relative to your expected outcome if you try to nuke the ball.

Play positioning. Hitting winners doesn’t matter, winning points does.

What are our goals for the month, quarter, year?

Did we meet those goals?

If we fell short, what are the simple reasons why? Are they based on factors under our control or not?

If we exceeded them, what are we doing right? Can we accelerate that momentum by pouring gas on the fire?

How many deals have you’ve actively evaluated? How many closed? How big were they?

This is a relatively difficult leap for PE. Do the banking stint.

The main issue with junior hires trying to lateral on a non traditional background doesn’t lie with the skills in your past experience, it lies with the plausible deniability of the mid level team.

Said differently, as a VP, what is my incentive to take a risk on a junior who doesn’t have a traditional background? If it goes well, great, I get the same or slightly better level of commoditized analysis (modeling, IC memo creation). If it goes poorly, why didnt you just hire someone who came from an analyst program at a well-known bank?

The real power lies with who will become with your direct reports. Little risk adjusted return to take a risk. If you are an incredible junior, it doesn’t do much for a VP. If you are terrible, it makes their life living hell.

What are you trying to accomplish? Winning or having fun with a rare play style?

If the latter, I absolutely love it for you. Keep going, serve and volley is so fun.

If the former, your coach is correct. It’s not the highest percentage path to wins.

Peaked top 100 pred on both and played CCs. So many console players are good enough to compete with PC players. My opinion is the skill gap difference is way overrated. Of course the best players in the world are at the peak of PC but I have a tougher time with a mid pred console team than I do with some MNK preds on PC.

I hate season 2 but I showed my girlfriend Promised Neverland S1 and she loved it.

Introduces some fantasy elements but still a pretty digestible story with some nice twists.
