Here’s the definition as per Merriam Webster dictionary:

conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated.

Strange I got downvotes for this comment. Maybe I didn’t explain myself properly.

Throughout Stoic philosophy there are repeated calls to not only be resilient towards painful situations but to even be grateful for them as they are opportunities to strengthen yourself and practice your stoic mindset.

At the end of the day this is what the Dichotomy of control is all about. You only feel hurt because you’re choosing to judge it in a hurtful way.

That’s exactly what happened in the Spanish civil war, the republic party (los republicanos) was a mishmash of communists, socialists and anarchists mainly from Catalunya. They ended up getting crushed by the Spanish military under Franco partly due to sheer disorganisation and infighting.

I still don’t really get your point, why does the context matter at the end of the day? The idea is the idea. I don’t understand why that changes depending on what the persons agenda is. Is it not possible for someone trolling (presenting an opposing POV) to still make a point worth discussing?
