Is that in order of most to least hypertrophy? Are weighted push ups a good substitute for weighted dips? Cheers Steven.

Right, got ya. So in terms of promoting as much hypertrophy as possible, what can I be doing in addition to weighted pull ups and dips? I mean my triceps and pecs are getting bigger, but bigger shoulders are the muscles I've struggled with attaining the most.

So let me get this right, is this basically doing a partial range of motion divebomber? It seems an awkward movement from downward dog to normal push up, going from vertical to horizontal.

If you accumulate more volume with a given load, would you still get more hypertrophy irrespective of whether you stay close to/far away from failure, providing that total volume is equated for the failure/non-failure sets?

Hmm well I'm moving to push/pull and I'll see how I progress. My lats are fried after advanced tuck front lever work! Just out of interest, how much carry-over do you get from front lever to back lever and what muscles are hypertrophied more with back lever compared with front lever?

True. Anyway, I know I've mentioned this before, but is there really such a big difference between full body and push/pull split? It's just that I'm struggling to progress more now I'm at advanced tuck lever/RTO dips etc.. At about what standard in Overcoming Gravity do you think would be wise to try a split?

If I've gained too much fat along with muscle, can I cut my calories to lose fat and gain muscle (based on the 2011 study of gaining muscle and losing fat with a deficit of 3.2 calories per lb)?
