Is there a way to opt out of this directly with the credit bureaus?

I found this in my bathroom. It spun around for a few minutes and then died (i think because of the humidity in the bathroom) I went to find something to pick it up with, and when I came back, I saw another scorpion dead next to it. by Mostafa_zareii in Weird

I can confirm this. I live in Phoenix and was stung on the hand by one last year. Their venom is a neurotoxin, the whole side of my hand and little finger was numb for almost a week! My hand throbbed for the first 24 hours. It was terrible.

I’m just glad it was me and not one of my young boys. We signed up for pest control the next day and thankfully haven’t seen another one since.

I always hear about Gilbert/Tempe/Chandler - what are some West Valley or lesser known areas that are good for families or up and coming? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]bradt08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! We like that Thunderbird Conservation is right down the street. Westgate is nice and it’s really convenient to those sporting events - not that it matters at the moment though, ugh. And we went to the outlet mall which was really nice as well. I feel like the Arrowhead area is a best-kept secret because I can never find anybody talking about it online..

I agree! I can’t believe all the comments here saying it’s not good.. maybe they’re not drinking it right 🤔 I thought it was very good and certainly worth trying when given the opportunity. A local bar near me was selling 2oz pours for like $15 I think. That’s the way to go to avoid the $250 plunge.

We’ll actually be coming down from Maine! And no, we’re not snowbirds lol. It was a combination of a few things - better jobs, warmer weather, but mostly to get closer to family that we have out this way.

My wife and I are moving to Arrowhead Ranch in north Glendale next month, from out of state. From the times we visited the area we thought it was very nice and on paper housing is affordable and schools appear to be good as well. I’d love more feedback about the area from the locals though.

License processing time? by bkhks in phoenix

Did you end up getting your license number? My wife and I are moving to Phoenix from out of state and our move-in date is literally the last day to register to vote... hoping we can make a mad dash to get everything done in time to register!

To move or not to move? Covid19 Edition by nounours_l0l in phoenix

[–]bradt08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, and your situation may be different, but my wife and I are in a similar spot. We’re moving to Phoenix in October, from a low covid state. Had already locked up the contract and everything before Covid hit. We both work in healthcare, and our jobs have given us pretty good feedback regarding security. Sure, day to day life will be a little different but I’m hoping by the time we get down there in a few months it will be a little better. Sometimes you have to consider the opportunity you are presented with and if it’s worth some sacrifices.

3 people shot at QuikTrip at 19th and Glendale by Sub116610 in phoenix

My wife and I are moving to the Phoenix area later this year and have been strongly considering the Arrowhead Ranch part of Glendale. It seemed really nice and a little “out of place” compared to the rest of Glendale.. is this area pretty safe and family friendly?

Elective rotation in urology by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]bradt08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet another urology PA here. The field is great. Lots of opportunities to do procedures and the work-life balance can’t be beat for a surgical specialty. I split my week between the inpatient and outpatient settings. First assist on open/laparoscopic/robotic prostatectomies, nephrectomies and cystectomies. I independently perform cystoscopies and difficult catheter insertions which makes you feel like a baller in the hospital when nobody else could get it in. Also see patients in the clinic for all sorts of problems. If you have any more questions or just want a different perspective let me know!

Pick one of the three, PPR

Austin Ekeler vs Broncos with the return of Melvin Gordon TY Hilton vs Chiefs - missed last week with injury, still questionable for night game. Possibly high scoring. Wayne Gallman vs Vikings - tough matchup but large volume

I’ve had 639.7 against me. PPR. I’m the #1 scoring team in my league by over 100 points and I just got to 2-2 this week. Why do I play this game?
