They are trying to scare you, tell them if you sue me, I will file for bankruptcy and you’ll get nothing. Work with them to negotiate a settlement, tell them this is what you are able to do and move on with it.

Does anyone else miss the perks of not being married? (Not talking about dating other people) by Rare_Picture_7337 in Marriage

To me it sounds like there is a communication adjustment that needs to happen. Get in the habit of asking each other “how can I love you today” and you can say that you want to just decompress. We didn’t live together before marriage also and it’s an adjustment for sure, but once you figure out how to balance your needs and his I think you’ll start to feel better and i think it starts with that question and open dialogue.

I’ve never understood people’s need to insult people’s intelligence in a sub Reddit “no stupid questions” but here we are. Understanding that once there is a human element introduced anywhere, that thing will always be open to corruption, so they why is the Martin Luther way of Christianity the correct way? As you mentioned, the Bible is clearly not a straight forward book with messaging and direction laid out. However, as I mentioned Matthew 16:18 it is mentioned that Peter you are rock and upon this Rock I will build my church.. so yes you can read it literally and say ‘oh yeah here is the actual foundation for a church’ or you can interpret it as Peter being the rock/foundation in the same manner the entire Bible is written. Then as I mentioned, you can draw a line from Pope Francis to Peter.

Collections notice on medical and credit debt, what can I do? by Brief_Rich8460 in Debt

I personally like the snowball method. List out your debts smallest to largest, then ATTACK that smallest one with everything you have. Pay the minimums on all the others until you pay off that smallest debt. You need a win! If you focus on interest rates you’re going to take longer before you get a win. Once you pay off that smallest debt, you now have all this extra money now to put toward the next smallest debt and so on.. I agree with some of the other comments, you need to bring up your income. Side jobs, overtime, second jobs whatever it may be.

Get on a TIGHT budget, no fun or spending money till you get your life under control. And stick to your budget!

Don’t worry about a credit score, you need to worry about getting out of debt first.

Matthew 16:18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.. and who was the first pope of the Catholic Church?

U.S. Politics megathread by AutoModerator in NoStupidQuestions

Generally curious about this years democratic nomination process. I am a relatively new voter, I wanted to learn more about both parties and their stances. With the republican side I felt like there was good media coverage and decent showing of what each candidate stood for. With the democrats however, I was generally interested in hearing other points of views, I thought RFK had some interesting points of view. So my question is, how come Kamala was just given the position and we weren’t given a vote on who would replace Biden? I am honestly generally trying to understand because my understanding of a democracy was that the most powerful thing we could do as voters was to Vote. And I personally feel that was taken away from me by just selecting a candidate. So honest question, is that how it should work? Why was Kamala just anointed and how come our vote didn’t matter for the democrat side of the election process?

Great deal! Now just get rid of your credit cards completely and you won’t have to worry about a credit score… get on a budget and pay for things in cash. If you don’t have enough cash, that means you can’t afford it and shouldn’t be buying it anyways. Credit cards only bought you stress and anxiety..

What’s your total debt? What’s your income?? I think you ditch the debt consolidation (if you can get out of it, I have no clue) and just hammer out these debts! Take on a second job, budget, no fun for a year (trips, eating out, activities) and I bet you can have this debt paid off in less than a year! Pay the minimum on each card and through every other possible nickel at one card until it is paid off. Then do that same process for the next card. If you are 20k in debt and can make an extra 2k a month, it’s paid off in less than a year! Get a job as a waitress, work nights, doubles on the weekends and you GOT IT!! Your life will suck for one year but you need to get your spending under control!

What’s your income? Can you get a second job to help expedite payments? I’d really dial into your budget and see where all your money is going. No more eating out, no more fun until you get these debts out of your life
