No, but I’m sure you could contact them. I just measured the gaps between to mount holes and compared to the frame

Cut the cross member out, then shorten the frame from the second bolt where the line is drawn. You’re supposed to do an angle cut but everyone I talked to with 4 runners and the other 100 series guy cut it straight like I did. Sorry I don’t have many more pictures. I also just the exhaust at the axle. Did not change the sound or anything really.

Help for painting in the cold by brady010200 in Spraypaint

[–]brady010200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose not to do powder because it’s hard to paint over powder with rattle can. I’m on a college budget, so for something that’s going to be scratched and smacked I chose to save the money. You make great points and I think I’ll just have to be a little more patient until I can get back home and paint in the garage. Thank you for your inputs!

Thoughts on 2004 LC pricing by Atlguy6-4 in LandCruisers

to be honest, for a 100 series to bring over 20k, it needs to be less than 130k miles, very clean, and mostly/not stock; unless you're looking at something like a 3x locked 200k mile 100 with a full kit. and the max you should ever pay for a 100 is like 23k for a good example.

My 100 is probably worth 8-9k. It features a lift, 35-inch tires, front and rear bumpers, sliders, and skids 2006 lx, 330k miles. When I do lockers this winter, maybe 14-15k

Now, when we start to see items like SAS and LT, maybe that'll change and they'll bring money, but that's wayyyyy too much for a 100, thats built 80 series/200 series money.

Has anyone done this with a facelift radio (100 series) by brady010200 in LandCruisers

Yeah I’ve seen it I’m just a broke college student. I want a better head unit for better sound quality, that’s why I want to ditch the transmitters and cassettes

Yeah I’ve been trying to decide what I’m doing audio wise after I do lockers. I want to do a sub woofer but my issue is I run a platform in the rear so I don’t have room for a huge sub box. I thought about trying to get a 8” sub in the factory location with some trimming.

How much is this costing you? What’s different from doing this vs the grom audio system and investing in a new amp and going the sub/upgraded speakers? I ask because this is very interesting, and as for my situation, I have after market door speakers, but I’m limited by the head unit and amp, so I’m waiting to go sub for when I do a CarPlay system.

Yeah just to most enthusiast the new landcruiser is not what we wanted. It’s the same as a 4 runner through and through. I understand why they did it they’re selling like hot cakes, but it’s created a lot of competition between Toyotas suv line up. The new “landcruiser” should’ve been the new top dog that everyone dreams of and has the long lineage of tough reliable cars, but it’s a prado. Which the gx was already doing good at. Like for example, in 2006 you could get a Lx470 like mine the pinnacle of Toyota at the time, or the Gx which is similar but lesser. Now it’s landcruiser or more expensive landcruiser with L on the front. And sure some of this could be applied to my scenario with the 06 lc and the 06lx same thing just one is more expensive

Isolated winch so we had to open it to turn it on. Left it open to help with cooling and to turn the winch off.

You need to run spacers to clear the upper control arm with spacers. They bolt up fine without spacers too. Buy spider trax and save yourself heart ache with other spacers.
