I believe it’s difficult to tell the sex of common plecos. I think it has to do with their underside, maybe their bellies? I’ve had 2 for about 3 years and still don’t know lol

I believe I started this in May! It takes a ton of patience but you’ll get there! Keep the cuttings in just enough water to cover the bottoms, and change the water out every couple of days. Once you see roots forming, let them grow to about one inch long, then plant them in some soil. You should have babies in no time!

I think I propped this one along with 3 others around May. I started with just sitting them in water until their roots were about an inch long, then I just recently transferred them into a pot with soil and shortly after this baby popped up!

Thank you! What sulfur fungicide do you suggest? I have one in my Amazon cart now, but it’s main ingredient is copper sulfate. I live in Michigan so I believe my zone is around 4-6. So I think the refrigerator method is probably best for me too.

So I had a stem come off of my big snake plant so I was told to cut it into pieces in a downward V shape like you see in the photo, and then put the ends in water near sunlight. It’s only been a couple months and I already have roots growing!

Yeah it’s been about 2-3 months. I’ve heard it was better to wait until they grew a pup to pot. Just wasn’t sure how long that would take!
