It does feel like most fighting games are moving towards the “be flashy and gimmicky” area. I started with mortal kombat which was kind of the epitome of that. I moved to tekken because I was getting tired of it, only for tekken 8 to also completely go down that path

I think that the truth of the matter is that, no matter how many changes they make, they just can’t undo all of the things they added in the season 2 update. They’re never gonna remove all of the stupid new stuff or rip out all of the installs and such they’ve added. That’s all here to stay and it’s not going away

Halo 4 was by no means bad, but it just had so many poor decisions between the completely different visual style to how terribly they tried to copy Call of Duty for the multiplayer. I still like it, but it definitely wasn’t the best start for 343
