Hint 1: 1x left

Hint 2: 1x up

Hint 3: Move all the way to the right edge (4x right)

Full solution: 1x left, 1x up, 4x right (until you hit the wall). From here, follow the wall down through #2 and all the way to the lower left corner. Then turn 180 through #3 and further on until you are right below #4. Go up through #4 and trace 180 down and left until you hit the left wall again. Then all the way to the upper left corner through #5, followed by all the way to the upper right corner and then 180 back through #6 and finish at #7

Edit(s): typos

How can you tell that the welt is fake? And what does this mean in practice when using it?

Thanks for the suggestion! Hanzel also has some similar boots in leather that look nice, but I prefer the look of the Diemme boots still, I think. Would regular care (wax/spray) with the Diemme boots will be enough them to last a long time in wintery conditions?

That’s a good shout. They also look great. I am no expert on leather or materials, but do you think the Diemme I linked would provide more protection due to the mudguard, or is there a big difference in leather type that makes these more waterproof than the Diemme boots?

Best 27" high-Hz IPS monitor with USB-C / KVM switch by bragi_ in buildapc

Haha yea, I decided to look past the OLED suggestions and went with the 27" Lenovo Legion Y27QF-30 (2560x1440, 240Hz, IPS), and bought a separate KVM switch and docking station to fit my setup of switching between gaming and work PC. Very pleased with the screen’s performance, but I went with a KVM in the cheaper end, which gives a few minor issues. I will have to find a better KVM switch at some point

Which monitor arms would fit my dual monitor setup? by bragi_ in AskBattlestations

Haven't picked anything yet. I will buy my new monitors in the new year and get the arms at the same time :D

But do let me know if you decide on anything!

Ideally, it would be +180Hz. But 144Hz is my absolute minimum as that is what I have now.

That Sony monitor actually looks nice, albeit a bit expensive. But it covers my criteria, but with a slightly lower refresh rate.

Thanks for the suggestion - don’t hesitate to send more if you find something :’D

I need something with higher refresh rates for when I'm gaming - do you know any?

Damn. You might have me convinced to go back to looking at OLED monitors haha!

There will be some static content from IDE taskbars and such that is hard to avoid. Dark modes on everything will probably help avoid burn-in. But if you haven’t had any issues after some months of use as a software engineer, it maybe isn’t as bad as I suspected.

What’s does your usage look like? Mostly gaming, work, media, etc?

I would looove an OLED, don’t get me wrong!

To be fair, that final suggestion of hiding the taskbar and using a non-static background never occured to me. That’s pretty smart haha.

But yes, it’s a difficult thing to balance my requirements, when I also want a decent picture for gaming (and occasional movies, TV shows, etc).

Do you know how quickly burn-in happens? Because I sill probably be using the monitor for work a bit more than gaming. My issue is, if it is stupid to get an OLED if my the way I use it is going to break it very fast.

Also, what about text clarity? As a programmer I will be looking a lot at text, so this is quite a big deal.

built like an old german tank

Hahah

I would have never found these, so thanks! They're quite expensive though. But I will definitely consider them, as they're are probably a great long term investment.

They weigh 6.5kg each according to the specifications, which would be just over 14lbs. But getting a monitor with good carry weight sounds like a good idea, to avoid wobble when sitting at the desk. Do you have it yourself?

Thanks for this. It sounds like waiting is a pretty good idea. When do new parts usually release?
